Here is a repeat of a post I made a few days ago about how to update your campaign to new numbers to avoid overwriting other scenarios or having yours overwritten. This may help:
=============
As more of you design or download new campaigns the day will come when there may be a conflict of slot numbers, just as there is with scenarios.
By that I mean you may design a campaign, saving it, say, in slot 7.
Lamentably someone else out there might be doing the same thing.
So how do you fix that?
First, when you download a new campaign to install in the game, look in the zip file and check the numbers.
Remember that there are 1000 slots open for campaigns in SPWAW.
The files for slot 7 would be c007*00.*
That Number 7 tells you it is going to install itself in slot 7.
Next, look in your campaign subdirectory. If you see files with that same numbering, c007*00.* then you know you are in danger of overwriting a campaign you already have in your game.
So what is an easy fix. Its very simple.
1. Unzip all the newest campaign files into a temp directory: C:\Temp
So what is an easy fix? Its very simple.
1. Unzip all the newest campaign files into a temp directory: C:\Temp
2. Open a Dos Window
3. Type CD\ at the prompt
4. Type cd\temp (no spaces)
5. Type: ren c007*.* c008*.*
It will rename all the campaign files from 7 to 8.
6. Close your dos window by typing "exit."
7. Now all the campaign files should have the proper numbering.
It has not happened yet, but that day will probably come.
