The Kittyhawks had no chance but hey, the Warhawks got the bounce and achieved a kill ratio in their favour... We´re not getting our fighters airborne and we´re not even getting the bounce above our own base, even when our fighters are set to 15.000ft and the Allied escorts are flying at 8.000ft. Well working design... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on TF, near Koepang at 28,77 Japanese aircraft A6M2 Zero x 62 Ki-44-IIb Tojo x 35 Allied aircraft B-17E Fortress x 41 B-24D Liberator x 9 Japanese aircraft losses A6M2 Zero: 4 damaged Ki-44-IIb Tojo: 1 damaged Allied aircraft losses B-17E Fortress: 1 destroyed, 20 damaged B-24D Liberator: 4 damaged Japanese Ships MSW W.17 MSW W.7 AK Canton Maru, Bomb hits 2, on fire, heavy damage AK Yubari Maru, Bomb hits 1, on fire Aircraft Attacking: 2 x B-17E Fortress bombing at 10000 feet 26 bombers manage to get through the Cap and sink another small AK... our fighters once again prove to be useless against the 4Es... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day Air attack on TF at 29,72 Allied aircraft B-26B Marauder x 18 No Allied losses Japanese Ships AK Shinsei Maru AK Sansei Maru, Bomb hits 1, on fire AK Mayachi Maru, Bomb hits 1, heavy damage AK Muko Maru Japanese ground losses: 16 casualties reported Guns lost 1 Aircraft Attacking: 2 x B-26B Marauder bombing at 6000 feet Miller now has moved Marauders to Lautern, attacking a troop convoy at max range. I could just total losses of today: the last days have clearly showed what I knew the first day when Miller landed troops at Lautern, it will be impossible to do anything in this region as soon as he begins flying attacks out of his level 6 airfield of Lautern. Even though I take down more aircraft than I lose, I also lose precious pilots and I now I also have started losing ships. Soon the Allied Army will have marched to Dili, coming over 120 miles of trails and being very well supplied it seems. Then Dili will fall soon and with another level 5 airfield on Timor, there will then be 550 Allied aircraft on Timor that will lay waste up to an area around Java and South of Borneo! The fact that my fighters don´t get airborne will be the biggest issue and will make defense impossible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sub attack at 11,86 Japanese Ships SS I-170 Allied Ships MSW Latrobe MSW Shepparton MSW Lismore MSW Launceton MSW Kapunda MSW Katoomba 2 torps miss Latrobe... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack at 12,86 Japanese Ships SS I-1, hits 1 Allied Ships MSW Burnie MSW Goulburn MSW Maryborough MSW Bundaberg MSW Poole -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sub attack at 11,86 Japanese Ships SS I-170 Allied Ships AK West Planter, Torpedo hits 1, on fire, heavy damage but one out of two torps hit the already damaged big AK... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and here comes the big joke of the day (as if the other happenings wouldn´t be ridicoulos enough...) Day Time Surface Combat, near Koepang at 28,77 Japanese Ships MSW W.7 MSW W.17 AK Hankow Maru, on fire, heavy damage AK Indus Maru, Torpedo hits 1, on fire AK Yubari Maru, on fire AK Hiyama Maru, on fire AK Shoko Maru AK Canton Maru, on fire, heavy damage Allied Ships PT PT-67 PT PT-78 PT PT-84 PT PT-116 PT PT-117 PT PT-161 Miller moved in his PTs! Next Allied base is 6 hexes away so I wonder how those PTs are expected to return to their home port? Paddling? Using drifts??? Using PTs offensively that end up out of fuel is away from my understanding... They sink an undamaged AK of course... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Delhi Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 22362 troops, 255 guns, 7 vehicles, Assault Value = 482 Defending force 21556 troops, 80 guns, 4 vehicles, Assault Value = 188 Allied ground losses: 12 casualties reported -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at 47,28 Japanese Deliberate attack Attacking force 78476 troops, 927 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 1668 Defending force 23990 troops, 137 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 715 Japanese max assault: 1654 - adjusted assault: 1952 Allied max defense: 738 - adjusted defense: 218 Japanese assault odds: 8 to 1 Japanese ground losses: 814 casualties reported Guns lost 35 Allied ground losses: 824 casualties reported Guns lost 13 trying to kill off the three units North of Sian... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Sian Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 14244 troops, 459 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 2881 Defending force 98080 troops, 278 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3247 Allied ground losses: 25 casualties reported -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Chungking Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 15850 troops, 183 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 1524 Defending force 223318 troops, 1605 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 4184 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Myitkyina Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 8446 troops, 290 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 1530 Defending force 30539 troops, 214 guns, 232 vehicles, Assault Value = 479 Allied ground losses: 264 casualties reported -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ground combat at Kweiyang Japanese Bombardment attack Attacking force 16049 troops, 202 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 3438 Defending force 222028 troops, 819 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 5731
