Barbarossa you can keep away from Detailed and quick combat (don't need that in PBEM).

You must master: Supply, Attrition, reenforcement and economy (advance).

HiHi

Warning

Ironwarrior Barbarrossa whoever takes Sweden over, really, really make sure you understand the ramifications of the Pre-set 'Attitudes/Trade' etc on your 1st turn, they seem to play Havoc with subsiquent Treaty actions once into the game, if at all in doubt please ask here before sending in your 1st turn, sorry, I still don't fully understand what goes down, but others here do.

All the Best
Peter

British turn in.

For whoever starts, it takes a while to get you economy maximised the first couple of turns, but it's quick enough after that. Hopefully we'll get a good turnaround after the next couple of turns.

Hey, I don't want to cut in line or step on toes, so I'll wait to see if barbarossa is still interested since he replied first. If not I'll volunteer.

Well, I am up and running. I should be ready by tomorrow. I think :).

However, between March 18 and March 25, I will definitely be limited to one turn every 2 days or so. And between 19th and 22nd, I won't be able to do any turns at all. Just so you know.

But I am moving along pretty well in teaching myself this.

Okay. Email is ready. Contact Lenin for details.

Kingmaker,

Since you warned me about the preset "attitudes" I would love to know more. Please explain.

Thanks

While you are in any game, right click on any province and you get a little pop up menu.  One of the options is PBEM Policies.  Click on that.  Up comes a big list of other major powers.  Accept Alliance.  If checked you will accept a simple alliance offer during the movement phase from that power automatically.  Aggression.  If checked you will form protectorates with minors threatened by that power, issue ultimatums if they violate your neutrality and refuse offers of cease fire and limited surrender.  Trade with.  You will accept trade offers from powers whos box is checked IF the trade offer coincides with your Import Export check boxes for all resources involved in the trade offer.

You have to set your policies, and your password, in the game file you receive from Matto. The example I gave above is just so you can see where it is ahead of time.

Mus has identified a biggie. Make sure you set your trade policies (the same screen) right, or all your neighbours will run off with your crown jewells!

exoskeleton at gmx dot de is the email he wants to use for this game.  Could we add that to the list?

Hehe, I was just suggesting that you should make sure you have a large surplus of whatever you are willing to trade, as the AI will assume you have an endless supply to give away.

Actually Lenin, this is the inverse of what you want to do...

The more you have of one ressource stockpiled the less the AI will value this ressource... For exemple, the Brits have LOADS of cash. If you have like 1k money on hand, the AI will consider that money is not worth much because you can stack so much... So it will accept less of other ressources for money... I would consider NOT stockpiling to much... That's why you got to try and make sure you control everything right...

Barbarosa: I made a discussion with in a post in page 4 of this thread I believe about PBEM policies. There's also the rule book (where I took all information) and it's where I found all info.

Doing and sending my turn.

Hehe, my head hurts.....

Franck, be sure to come my way if you ever need any stockpiled money, particularly if you are on your way to Paris!

Hey guys,

I just now got the files.

I have to be honest, I need one more night to practice. I will send the turn out tomorrow morning.

Thanks.

Gustav IV Adolf, King of Sweden, Grand Duke of Finland, and Protector of Swedish Pomerania
