Hello... A lot of the low percentage repairs represent things like: needs paint, barnacles on hull, minor system needs spare part (ordered from Florida), minor system needs part (none exist), radar operator transferred to Alaska (waiting for replacement), crew on liberty, ship's executive officer on leave in Nevada (mother died), screw up at CinPac (ship was sunk according to records, waiting for paper work to get straightened out) and the like. Larger ships take longer to repair a percentage point. One percent damage on a 30,000 ton ship with a crew of 5000 is more than a percentage point of a ship that displaces 800 tons and has a crew of 30. I generally send a ship back to homeland/Pearl if it has a damage of over 20%, unless it is a critical ship (such as a CV or BB), in which case I send it back if over 30%. I disband task forces if I do not expect to use them again for week or more. Hope this Helps... Michael Wood
