My GF actually mentioned to me about doing rollerblades....citing the fact that she used to do so many a moon ago. My reply was something similar.

I've ridden horses a decent amount. Seems to come naturally to me though I have no idea why.

Yes....well i thought the same....regrettably my GF is a Dressage snob and can, and will critique one till they are a curled up in a ball on the ground mumbling...."there's no place like home......there's no place like home."

I got revenge though......we have an EPSM mare under our care who loves me but pins her ears at the GF unit and will lunge under my tutledge perfectly but will be a wild out of control animal under the GF. Pisses her off....being the "professional"

I like to comment that i now have two Princesses in my life.....one has two legs.....the other has four.

I'm sorry to hear that. Thinking about aliens is the sign of a troubled mind.

No, I've unfortunately not had the opportunity. I've been trying to get USS to get into it but he refuses to make time for the important things.

Hi Bruce.

He's trying to recruit me to play. I barely have enough time to get a WitP turn or two done in a week.

It does sound like a lot of fun!

Close Action. Naval combat in the age of sail 1750's to 1825 or so. It is a lot of fun. It is meant to be played on a big table or the floor.

Closest i ever got to that kind of naval warfare was SSI's 8bit game "Broadsides" classic.

I was able to play last summer with the game's author as the game master. There were about 25 of us. It took the floor of the hotel conference room. It was great. See the attached photo.

Fun stuff!

ack....i don't have the patience to paint miniatures.....same prob i had with building ship models.....in too much a hurry to have the finished product=crap job.

Thk god for computers....even SFB got converted to computer and thk god for Gary Grigsby who put specific combat results in place of counters with abstract "factors"

I like painting miniatures. However, the cerebral palsy tends to slow it down somewhat. I have about a dozen painted Napoleonic ships and 2 dozen GHQ WWII vessels.

I actually did an almost decent job on a model of the Arizona.....a fact that didn't prevent it's eventual decline due to a kid's tendancy to inevitably "play" with said model. It ended up being buried at sea after having been lit on fire.

My paint job on the Prince of Wales is fortunate to have occured before the age of digital cameras otherwise the rate of blindness due to internal virtius fluid explosion might have been severe.

Several of my models ended up being used to test homemade gunpowder. Back in the 60's all of the ingredients were available legally from the drugstore. My father did make it known we were not allowed to pack it. It still did a job on plastic models.

Speaking of which.....they have taken all of the good stuff out of today's chemistry sets.

fortunately my father never found out that we nearly burned down his house and the neighbors after pouring gasoline onto a burning Cylon fighter.

Mistake.

Kids.......don't ever pour gasoline on a fire.....it sucks.

Using today's chemistry sets I don't see why anyone would want to become an engineer.
