I was just wondering especially from the veterans out there which long campaigns do they prefere. For myself I like to play the same campaign from both sides and see which side does the best. 1.Barbarossa June 1941 to end -eastern ETO 2.Italian Campaign July 1943 - end - as German, U.S. and British 3. Normandy to the Rhine June 1944- again as German, U.S. and British. Does anyone have any other ideas, especially concerning the Far east, i ahv nt really tried campaigns in this theatre yet

I started a long camp playing Japan on mainland Asia in 39. Until late 1940, it was tough going cuz I had to go up against Russkie hordes of BT tanks. I suggest you by a platoon or 2 of Japanese Eng/Flame tanks and make the Russkies come to you, Jap tanks in 39 will get mowed down at range by the 45mm armed BT-5. The AI will also buy heaps of 203mm guns.... ouchie for your brave SNLF troops. After the Russikies you will hit Nationalist China until late 41. Just hoards of untrained KT milita and National regulars with no anti-tank capabilities. I nuked my camp files when I upgraded to 4.4, but assume would have run into Indian, UK, and ANZAC eventually by keeping my forces in mainland asia.

Hello, I've started one as the Hungarians(custom). This will take a lot of skill and patience against the Russians!! 1941, the Magyars don't have much armor, and what they do have has questionable A-T value!! ------------------ Mike Amos Meine Ehre Heisst Treue

Greetings Skotty, I've been playing the Japanese Far East campaign these past couple of days, and have got as far as running into the British army twice, around the start of 42. It comes as something of a shock to see tanks rolling towards you after having been faced with the thousands and thousands of Chinese peasents. (I take it you noticed how much the game slowed down when it was trying to keep track of all those infantry units in China... thank you for machine guns). Still no sign of the Indian army yet, but its only about 2/42. The Japanese campaign is more fun than I thought it would be. I started off one in the pacific theatre and got catapulted along to after Pearl Harbour instantly - glad I didn't stick with that one, I'm enjoying laying waste to large stretches of Asia. Other than thjis campaign I've only really fiddled about with an Italian one (disastrous) and a German one (not my thing) and have really liked the British in the desert.

Hi I am on battle number 19 on eastern front as Russian. Except for the Luftwaffe have had no problems kicking axis butt. How ever it is now 3/43 and expect to start running into Tigers pretty soon and other better armour (MK-III's no match for KV-1(E)) I also have Japan 1939-1945 running I killed lots of BT-5's and 7's but had a much harder time with T-28's Do you use the inf-AT units? molotov cocktail best tank killer there is for any army and Japan's infantry the best at making those assaults since they don't run away. 1939 Russians run away easy (I use lots of mines and arty) I think campaign should start in 1936 for Japan ------------------ I'm not retreating, I'm attacking in a differant direction!

Experience in the far east - weather can be a real killer, in a thunderstorm all your foot units get reduced to one hex/turn when off road. This can be heartbreaking - you can see the objectives up ahead, only ten hexes away, and know that it will take you at least ten turns to get them there ... longer if someone starts shooting at you. Just about all my Japanese campaign battles have taken place in bad weather and at night, is this common?
