Hi all,

Oh my...

Martin?

RAF girls fly by the seat of their panties

by The Sun UK

TOP Guns have amassed a treasure trove of knickers - paid by RAF girls as "fares" for a ride in a jet.

A whole wall of the Tornado pilots' bar is covered with the framed panties - with more hanging from the ceiling.

The tradition was started at Mount Pleasant airfield in the Falklands by fast jet crews.

But pilots of helicopters and rescue planes charge a BRA for a joyride.

One woman RAF officer said: "If you went flying with all the different aircraft in the Falklands, you wouldn't have any underwear left."

The fast jet pilots' private bar - a converted bedroom - is also decorated with an ejector seat.

Another female officer said: "Any woman who wants a flight in a jet has to offer her underwear in return.

"Underneath the framed women's underwear are messages like 'Thanks for the ride' and 'Thanks for making me squeal.'"

The airfield is manned by 700 RAF personnel, but only ten of the officers are women.

An RAF veteran revealed some of the high-jinks that went on in the pilots' bar - including "mess rugby" with a cabbage as a ball.

Last night RAF sources confirmed the existence of the knickers display.

A senior officer said: "All flights are approved. There is no question of illicit use of jets.

"Passengers are not forced to hand over knickers as a fare - but if they wish to make a donation, that is entirely up to them."

Last night the Ministry of Defence said: "Nobody should get upset about this. There's an approved system for allowing passenger flights in jets."

Leo, I've decided that I'm in the wrong line of work. No matter how many attractive women there are at my work (and there are quite a few) I don't think I could get away with "Sure, I'll get your computer running properly in exchange for your panties."

Having seen the majority of WAAFs, I'd stay clear of their underwear

I've not done a full det in the Falklands, so I wouldn't be able to comment even if the RAF would let me

Dixie, you have reminded me of the women I served with in the Navy.  I think I'm MUCH better off today, getting to look at dozens of pretty women at work, over collecting any panites from most of the women back then.

True Mike, but that was when? Times and things change.Women in the Navy, like girls from my native New England used to (as a Southern friend of mine recently pointed out to me) consider chapstick to be their only make-up. A lot of the the younger military girls I see today are one heck of a lot more attractive than in my day (and a lot wilder!).

Yes... there is something in that one... but... but... wait one... I work with computers and not flying jets... <SIGH>

Yes, Leo.  I knew you could relate to our "lack of persuasive resources", since we both work in IT and not in the cockpit of a Tornado.

I'm pretty sure my wife preferrs it that way.    Kind of like she preferrs me playing "that geeky computer game" instead of running around the bars in the area.

That started last Monday. By tomorrow, she'll have been employed for 10 days, and have a 70% rate of absence.

This "kid" is in her early fifties, but otherwise yeah... I don't mind that much; I'd rather be busy on my own than be saddled with a lazy coworker...

She won't be "around" much longer. Even a public institution like my hospital won't stand for that sort of absenteeism... Then we'll see what the next one will be like...
