ORIGINAL: Terminus As an experiment, I went and made the following comment on the CNN.com thread. We shall see if it's even allowed on: This is a really interesting experience. Seeing how the Internet carries all these sentiments forward so quickly, seeing how it becomes self-perpetuating and leads to some people (who might otherwise be "normal", whatever that means) publicly calling yesterday "The Worst Day in World History". It's difficult to respond to such a statement, except by saying that by making it, the commenter reveals more about themselves than about the rest of the world. Friday the 26th of June, 2009 was in no way, shape or form the worst day in world history. Once this communal reaction dies down, it is to be hoped that some people honestly question why they would make such statements, commenting on the passing of an individual personally unknown to them. You should know better than to mock the masses old boy Why should I care that he's dead? I never met him (and never will now), some of his music was OK. At least the local children will sleep happier now I recall similar, or eventually worse, public despair at the death of "The People's Princess" The children will sleep happier....and perhaps safer. Dare I suggest it?....Unmolested?
