ORIGINAL: BigDuke66 Why the hell does an event change if I just "relocate" formations and their units? Probably because the event engine is referring to a slot in the program rather than the named formation. Anyway, it does. That's just the way it is. If you've got a long event list, changes in either the number of formations or the number of units aren't to be undertaken lightly. In fact, once I'm well into a scenario, I rarely delete a unit or scenario. I just rename it with an asterisk and undeploy it (idea originated with Ben Turner). Aside from avoiding problems now, if I subsequently want to add units or formations, I can do so without wrecking the event list again. Theoretically, this has been fixed. See item 35 in the v3.0.0.12 section of the "What's New.rtf" file. But, I wouldn't blindly count on it. If I changed or deleted/added to the OOB, I'd definitely check the event list. Not that I'm especially upset, but if you're referring to an already issued patch, either I'm missing it or it hasn't been fixed. I just added some bits and bobs to an OOB for a scenario. Went ahead and combed through the events list, noting and fixing the usual shifts.
