There was a little curvy road behind Carter Finley Stadium that was good for extracting squeals.

or you could just take it here.

Wow, a 1/4 mile oval is a short, short track.

First day of school for my son tomorrow.  It's going to be a hectic day.  Rack time for me.

Just guessing but it probably means that the marines have upgraded their status from "carrier capable" the "carrier trained" and will not be taking as many ops losses.

Not sure about the reference to the carriers

Well then you will have to come see the USS North Carolina since you like the big guns.

I will!

I'll be there in November, at least if my registration works (will not be possible before 1st or 2nd of November).
If so, I hopefully have the time to stay in the US for at least a month to do some sightseeing and to look for my new home
If possible, I'll surely will knock some doors in NC!

Torsten, are you talking about coming over in November this year to get registered for next year's race? I know the registration opens the morning after the race for the next year, and it usually fills up in a day or two. The Interplanetary Thread Brothers (NC Chapter) would be glad to entertain.

I'll register online and come in November 2010. I hope, I'll have my own fanclub with threadbrothers there

Can you count on your 10 fingers ? Do you still have 2 arms and 2 legs ? 2 eyes ? One head ? So it's a begginning . Is it that you are tired of the journey ??

I thought you found a job in germany ? Does this mean you already look for a change, or do you have the luck (?) to go in USA for this work ? Just curious.

I'm working totally over the internet, so I might even work from a yacht in the Caribbean - as long as I have literature with me

I also always intended to move abroad and the US was on my list as well (though I have to admit I'm a little afraid whether they're still attractive when the actually presidency is over...)

Happy for you too ! . And you sound reasonnable : my futur-ex-brother-in-law ( ) used to go to hospital once in a while for nothing. I mean, in order to have days of rest far away from works, he made a few surgery (can't find the englsih word) of small things, even if the doctors said "you know, there is nothing wrong with this" and he replied "make it anyway". I am glad that my wife's sister get rid of him.

At first i wanted to joke about the fact that french language is simple. But that's not true.
I am not even good in french grammar....But "penser" (to think, for our english-spoken threadster brother) mean so much. Also: always keep the first feeling, it is often right ;

I always found German easier than French. Even now I can remember more German than French despite not speaking much of either for 10 years or so.

At least with English there's no masculine/feminine/neutral words. There's one word for 'the'

That's funny, for me english always seemed more easy then german. Never understood the "declination". My german teacher lost his last hair trying to explain me, but he failed.
But when in england, i can nearly be taken for a english. I mean, the english ask me if i am american or canadian, the scot ask me if i am english or welsh, and i never met a welsh . Usually when i told that i am french, everybody is surprised (probably because i don't have this horrible stupid wrong accent )
