At least with English there's no masculine/feminine/neutral words. There's one word for 'the'

it's always funny trying to pronounce it: Ve...ze.....Te....Zhvvvve

French is like latin. In fact, its math. You know the formula, you know the language. You know how to spell french correctly, you spell every word correctly. But in english?

French is defenitly more simple than english and german!

I always found German easier than French. Even now I can remember more German than French despite not speaking much of either for 10 years or so.

At least with English there's no masculine/feminine/neutral words. There's one word for 'the'

That's funny, for me english always seemed more easy then german. Never understood the "declination". My german teacher lost his last hair trying to explain me, but he failed.
But when in england, i can nearly be taken for a english. I mean, the english ask me if i am american or canadian, the scot ask me if i am english or welsh, and i never met a welsh . Usually when i told that i am french, everybody is surprised (probably because i don't have this horrible stupid wrong accent )

I found English easy as well I found that German was a lot easier to learn than French, more words are similar to their English counterparts.

Guys, quick question to WITP grognard, i mean the old-Witp, not AE (sorry, it had to wait for my birthday), if i put 3 torps in CVE Taiyo, she should be doomed ? no messages in the op report or in the sunken ship list, but i really really hope because i get so much hammered in my PBEM, it would make a boost to my morale.

She's probably done for but FoW means you might not see her name in the ship sunk list for a week or more.

Thanks. I am still at 15 january of 1942, so only 41 days of play. As the FOW of the sunken ships can be as long as 60 days, i still hope to see some japanese ships appaering on the list, but i have real doubt (no hits on subs around pearl at the right beginning of the game for example, and only 2 or three AK hits in a months of war, with no direct loss). So this one should make a big morale boost.
Also, much hard to tell, and i know there is a part of random, say BB Haruna took 8 shell ( 2 of this hits are 14inch wich penetrated), 2 torps, no special damaged scored, no flooding report, but nethertheless, 8 shells hits, 2 torps, fire, heavy damaged, and this ships is far away from any japanese port....it should be expected to sink, or is there a real chance to survive ?

Haruna can probably survave that and it's not too far bcak to Saigon or Cam Rahn Bay. I assume they were air launched torps?

One torp was cruiser launched, one torp was air launched ( beautiful swordfish of the tiny Hermes !). The jap TF is in Indian Ocean, 10 hex away from Java (Tjilitjap being the closest point). So far away from a port. Closest jap port is Kendari. This TF must be short on fuel and ammo, and an AO with cruiser escort is closing to Bali. But, sadly, my TF is in bad shape too, can't fight anymore, and the planes in Java didn't hit this pesky AO....so i hoped for the loss of Haruna. Well, i'll live with this .....

Would be nice but
1) no time right now, too much things in balance for a while
2) i don't have AE for the moment
3) i don't want to suffer from an experienced player, and each PBEM player is far more experienced then i am
but for bragging/whinning/arguing/joking, i could find interest .
I hope you will find a good game.

I would, but...

I've got a couple of potential future matchs lined up.
I've got stupid work for another week or so.
I'd wait until the first patch is out to start a game.

You're from that other lot...
