It seems that oftentimes in my development screen it will say that a large amount of sumptious goods, including large amounts of spice, are set to be consumed producing +100 morale, but then when the turn comes around I usually have gotten the +10, +25, or +50 morale with glory instead and my spice stockpile just gets bigger and bigger.

Could this area receive a bit of attention for the patch so it does a better job of telling you what will be consumed and how much morale to expect?

Actually what it seems like is the game thinks that you are going to consume spice out of your stockpile, but in reality you don't. My spice stockpile just seems to get bigger and bigger.

In Another PBEM as Britain it is huge, and I never seem to be getting +100 morale, just +25 or +50 here and there.

Mus, I don't disagree with you (well, actually I do). :D

Just yesterday I was wishing we DIDN'T get so much information about our morale. I wish we just had a "red", "yellow", "orange", "green", and "blue" morale levels and the game would simply tell us if it was increasing or decreasing and PERHAPS which speed. (increasing rapidly, increasing moderately, little change, decreasing moderately, decreasing rapidly). If our national leaders had the kinds of information at their finger tips that we do, running a country would be a snap!

I personally would want more "fuzziness", but would perhaps want to be able to turn on the precise numbers for playtesters and troubleshooting (or disable this feature in PBEM, so that everyone is on the same playing field).

Actually, making more information unknown would be a positive in certain cases. That's more of a design decision though, not what I am talking about.

In this case, the actual issue isn't that I know or don't know information. It's that the game says I should be getting +100 morale, and in fact I do have enough sumptious goods to consume to get that amount, but next turn I find my sumptious goods consumption was considerably less and my stockpile in spice is ever increasing.

I think it needs to be looked at. Seems spice in the stockpile is not being consumed the way the game itself thinks it will be.

You know I agree with this. More fuzziness about what exactly your decisions are doing might be a good thing.

But I would still like to have more precise control over how much you allow them to consume. I would like to be able to shut the valve OFF as far as textiles, maybe spice and luxuries too. So you pay the consequences in taking a hit to Nat Morale . . . It can take literally years to build up enough of a Textile stockpile to build a diplomat. Maybe that is a good thing as far as realism goes, but it just feels annoying from a game-play standpoint. I have an SP game as Russia that is up to about 1801. I've whupped Austria in one war, and now taking on Turkey. I have only been able to build ONE diplomat, and I don't think I've built a single Hvy Cav and maybe only one Hvy Arty.

Maybe I've played too much Civlization :)
