The difficulty should raise with every scenario and from campaign to campaign (thus the figures before them).

Maybe it is just me but after the first two or three battles I do not find the AI weak. Also, I am losing units all the time:(  As I say, could just be my'style' of play. The game turn limitation makes me take risks, which is a good thing I think.

Keep in mind that, although you can often win the scenario if you take your time, the AI is generally there to keep you from gaining a BV. Most of the later scenarios of the Barbarossa campaign do require a fair deal of planning if you want to get BV's, especially if your core units don't include many aircraft to soften up a hex before you arrive.

All in all, I think the AI is doing a fair job thus far, similar to the PG series.

Its true the AI defeats you if you cannot reach you objectives, so the AI is slowing down your progress. Btw. this is what was done by the opponent if the attacker was too powerful - delaying things and hoping for reinforcements.
The Barbarossa Campaign starts easy and gets into moderate-to-hard depending on your experience as player and the size and composition of your army. Always considering getting all the BVs as a goal.

Two questions:

Can the AI be Modded?

Is there an Editor for the game?

Yes Larac, a darn good one. But you need to save often! Already created two 20-scenario campaign games pretty easily. No AI editor, but you can craft things so the scenarios play out to your liking.

Thanks for the reply.

Doing some research on AI for games, and looking for those I can use as test beds.

Not to hijack yet another thread, but you'd want to look at HOI3, as the AI routines are almost totally accessible to the sure via lua, etc.
