Treespider - I've got to rush out soon for work unfortunately, but if you pm me your email, I'll give you something else to try later, can't guarantee anything, but you'll have to go back(uninstall 32 bit) to the 64AMD microsoft patch.

Damian

sysWow64 cmd.exe worked.... thx.

You need separate Tracker installations for each game ... just make another folder.

Hi again! I am back with some more request =)

I work in the transportation industry for a large railroad. Internally, they measure their performance with 3 major indicators. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how these translate into the shipping industry, but i'm sure they do. These measures would apply to supply/fuel/oil/resource fleets and ship types (basically AK and TK flavors).

  • System Velocity - Average Train Speed. In game terms, average cargo/tanker task force speed.
  • System Dwell - How many railcars are sitting around in a yard doing nothing? How many AK/TK are sitting around in a port doing nothing?
  • Carloads - How many railcars are loaded each day? How many AK/TK are loaded each day?

I'd probably add a factor into each of those to compare to the totals. How many total AK/TK will tell you how many total carloads are possible and what the dwell is as a percentage of the total fleet. You might want to factor in ships in service versus out-of-service (repairs, upgrades, non-transport TFs like Escort TF, etc).

Thanks,
Dan

Also, it would be nice to have a Ship csv export as well.

Base definition file Pronlems

I checked the list of bases for NZ and found two Stewart Is. THere is two in the game, NZ and the Solomons. I tried to transfer the correct one to the Solomons and it appeared to do that OK but when I check the Oil/Res on the Industry panel the other Stewart Is is still there. I can't check to see if it's listed under Solomon Is as there is no Solomon Is in this list.

I then tried to create a new region with the intention on trasferring the base assigned to the old one and then deleting it. Although Ii appears that I can create the the region I the following Java error code that was generated during the process of creating the region.

Isert Error Code = -104
Table=Regions Values=(43, 'Solomon Is')

Any base I transfer to it appears as Australia.

I'll look at it tonight.

Edit: Drat - the region file Nomad created leaves gaps in the region numbers and that confuses my too-simple algorithm for finding the next available region ID. I put in a proper function. For now, you can just edit the region file and add Solomon Is (with a good region ID) to the correct Stewart Is and then import it.

Back from the drawing board, 10 days ago ... still working on this conversion stuff. Hoping once the filters are used the Parent (ship), will show the relevant Conversion data in there, without having to look in the tree.
Also the bottom (Details) display will show current class on the left and conversion class on the right, to give added details... or do you guys want the important stuff in the table (cargo/troops/oil/fuel) ?

I can fix the file to have no missing region numbers if you need.

Okay. The fix will be in there.

And Nomad, even if you took out the gaps in the region numbers, you'd need to make sure the last region that was created had the highest ID...

Good, I think it will be better to have a better routine to deal with possible gaps. I found the easiest way to reorganize was to move bunches to high region numbers and then move small pieces back where I wanted. I still need to redo my list, it is not exactly like I want it to be.

After a long 26 days, we have a new version available.

New Features:
  • Ship and Ship History CSV exports added
  • Ship damage items (major flotation, engine, major engine, repair mode and repair priority) added to Ship panel, Task Force panel, Ship History and Ship Repairs panel.
  • Multi-turn read allows all pws files to be examined and the dialog window will show the timestamp for each file.
  • LCU destination, distance marched, operations mode, and combat order shown in LCU panel and LCU history.
  • Ship Conversions added to the Ship Upgrade panel
  • Notes fields added in LCU and Air Groups panels
  • Nation filter added in the Aircraft Comparison panel
  • Industry panel: Report tab shows pilot training cost; Oil&Res tab and Supply&Fuel tab added surplus/days per base; a special "TF" region was added so it can be selected to show just task forces
  • Database upgrade added for new features that needed it. For the other new items, you need to read in a new turn for the values to show properly (e.g., engine damage will show as 0 for all ships until you read in a new turn and the actual values can be read from the save file).
  • Database loading time displayed when the program starts up. We're working on improvements to startup...

    Bugs Fixed:
  • Air Group HQ list shows all HQs with air groups assigned (and intermediate HQs as needed to show a proper hierarchy).
  • Device usage fixed to count all LCU's use of devices (it was missing the count if it wasn't in the TOE)
  • Region creation fixed to deal with gaps and ordering of imported region files
  • LCU supply for convoys fixed to display the full amount
  • Drop down in Industry report tab which shows turn numbers updates after turns are read in
  • Sorting by destination in LCU panel had issues if an LCU was in Hyderabad, since the base name has a parenthesis in the name

As usual, the program can be gotten from here.

One important note: database files (trackerdb files) for release 1.1 are compatible with this new release. When you start the program for the first time, you will see an "Upgrading WitPTracker AE database." message and then the program should start up normally.
To use this release with a database from a release earlier than 1.1, you need to delete the old trackerdb files and start over.

We hope you enjoy it way more than 1.1 . As always suggestions, comments and bug reports welcome.

    Damian and Floyd

No, that does not look right.

Are you sure this was an upgrade from a database from version 1.1? The errors are for columns we added in Release 1.1... If so, I think your best bet now is to delete the trackerdb files and start over.

I am still using version 1.0 of tracker on my current game. Can I upgrade to 1.2 from 1.0 and continue my current game?, or do I need to upgrade to 1.1 first, and then 1.2?

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade the DB from 1.0 to 1.2. You will need to start afresh, delete all the trackerDB.* files. If you have old saves you can start from there and rebuild the information. Otherwise, from now on (1.2) when you upgrade we will allow you to keep the existing data ... sorry.

    Guys,

Thanks very much for all your work. I cannot imagine playing AE would be nearly the wonderful experience it is without your Tracker program.

I did want to mention two things I ran into.

In the Industry Data Set, Supply & Fuel Tab, several of the columns do not sort down completely. Specifically the following:

    Fuel +/-

The other columns will work if a sort attempt is not made on the above column.

If a sort attempt is made on the above column, then the columns on each side of the Fuel +/- column do not sort completely (Fuel Prod. & Shipping). Sounds crazy but it's true.

On the same tab, if you select a region in the upper section and then select the Resource History button below, the pop-up box shows information for a region other than the row selected. For instance, if the Korea Region is selected, when the Resource History buton is pushed it, the pop-up box shows the history for Japanese Is. Strangely, the Details/Factories button right next to the Resource History button work fine.

FYI the Oil&Res tab which is similar to the Supply & Fuel tab, seems to work fine in all respects. It is only the Supply & Fuel tab that seems to have the problems noted.

Thanks again for all your work.

    Carl

    Carl,
double oops I forgot to do a proper sort method on that ... I'll have to fix it for next release, thanks for the bug report.

Also I note the same error on supply/fuel you are finding with the histories ... damn! Works when you don't sort the Oil/Res Main display ... still, I should have tested some more before throwing it together ... next build will be fine.

    Thanks again

Thanks for the very quick response.

Just FYI for anyone needing the history on supply and fuel. The history pop-ups on the Oil & Res Tab also includes the history for the supplies and fuel.

If you need an additional set of eyes to test things sometime just let me know.

    Thanks,

    Carl
