You mean overpriced and serving no useful purpose? I agree.

Kristian, I would bet that you don't have new big flat TV (Plasma / LCD) yet...

Leo "Apollo11"

You would be correct. I also don't want one.

Hello Kristian!

Somehow I knew that you would confirm...

BTW, you never watch DVD and BluRay movies at home?

I looked at a nice Panasonic plasma screen 3 weeks ago. However after I did that I thought about what I needed it for. I could not come up with a good answer. I won't buy one until I am forced to. I am happy with the 32 inch regular tv I have.

I do. Don't need a big flat screen for that; my old CRT screen is perfectly adequate, and I have better things to spend my money on.

Fair enough!

BTW, it is really really nice to watch good movies on big (40 inch or more) flat screen TVs (BTW, I prefer plasma screens to LCD) - it is experience to behold!

Bruce, Panasonic plasmas are best - you won't regret it if you do decide to buy it!

I have Pioneer plasma for almost 2 years now (42") but, unfortunately, Pioneer made only high-end producs and decided to withdraw from plasma manufacturing - since they left there is Panasonic and Samsung (both make most excellent plasma TVs)...

Even entry level 42" Panasonix 42X10Y is superb for SD ("Standard Definition") TV picture we have in 99% of cases, shines with DVDs and is great with HD ("High Definition") material - it costs just 700 Euros in Europe or around 1000 $ in USA!

BTW, here are some explanations (I = "Interlaced", P = "Progressive" - the numbers are vertical resolution lines):

SD = 576i / 576p (PAL) or 480i / 480p (NTSC)
HD = 720p and 1080i and 1080p

I'll get one eventually, but not until my current TV stops working.

Good morning, Bruce. I'm back on the early schedule, since my son changed schools a few weeks ago. He leaves for the bus stop at 0620, and I leave for work. It is very good for my work schedule, when I need to leave at 1530 or 1600 for hockey practices.

It's also good for the coffee business.

So I just sent 30 Bomber Command Squadrons to Bremen with two separate aim points (BtR). One of the two Pathfinder squadrons missed their target and laid their markers on open territory, but I'm not too worried since the other squadron marked their target properly.

Ask me how many of the main force squadrons ended up bombing open territory? Go ahead, ask me.

So, Bremen now has some seriously damaged open territory near it?

Corn production has probably collapsed by 1% in and around Bremen.

BTW, thanks for the heads up on DAO. I just had my first 4 hour sleep from staying up too late playing it. It's everything NWN was supposed to be.

A good quality CRT is still essential for shooters, though the pricy Apple CinemaScreens have closed the gap.

I don't know if they are available over there, but these guys make a nice SAN system.

Ask him how good it is after you do a Tylor Durden on it.
