And it is supposed to go to - 2 Deg C tonight.

That could kill our 3 citrus trees

Arnt you supposed to be packing them in blankets or somesuch?

I believe that the big orchards spray them with water. Apparently coating them in ice is preferable to leaving them open to the cold air.

Yeah they do. It keeps them from going below 32 overnight.

A quick stupid question that I'm sure threadsters can answer, I don't want to bother the folks in the tech threads as they seem a little testy on the subject of "hotfixes". I've had a world of difficulty (which I'm sure is totally due to my own computer illiteracy and general incompetance) and been unable to add any hotfix to my system since I upgraded to Windows 7. Will these fixes eventually be added to the regular patch 2 download? I can wait , I just was curious if my waiting might pan out. Thanks in advance.

I think there's plans to make such an incorporation, but why can't you add the hotfix?

Steve, the hot fix is in a zip file not its own installer. You need to download the fix, extract the files and then copy them into the witp:ae folder overwriting the ones already there

My sole sailing experience consists of attempting to manage a small catamaran one day in Destin Fla during a college trip. We zipped out from shore, ran in a straight line for what seemed liked miles ( ok, probably a couple of hundred yards ). When I told my friend ( who had loudly proclaimed to the dude we rented from that he knew how to sail ) that we should at least try to parallel the shore for a while, he attempted to turn us and we promptly turned over. And stayed turned over for hours, until a group of boaters came by and helped out. My friend spent most of the time throwing up, and just about every time I see him I still kid him about it

I have not been sailing since, so maybe I should take you up on that.

I crewed a 55ft yacht across the channel and back, it was agreat week and there was lots of Drinking in St Peter Port and Ouistreham.

On the way back we nearly got run down by a tanker. There was much cursing of said tankers crew until the skipper saw the radar reflector bouncing along in the ocean behind us instead of at the top of the mast.

Good question, if I knew then I could fix it couldn't I? Seriously , I follow the instructions (12 times now) and always get a blurb about not being able to find PW. Dixie can tell you from the trouble I had adding my sigline, I'm not pc computer astute.

I had thought that I'd done that. Apparently not. What's strange is that I never had trouble doing it with XP or Vista. Either the OS change has made the procedure different , or (more likley) I've simply lot those brain cells that allowed me to do it before.

I find a catamarran harder to sail than a mono-hull , and it's definately harder to capsize or right. If my next move sends me to a lake sailing enviroment I may buy one though. I perfer mono hulls. More traditional and no "trapeze".

Hey Steve-O!

What part of unzipping the hotfix file and extracting the .exe to the AE folder asks for a PW?

And I'll bet that the tanker's bridge crew were cursing the yacht crew...

Hey Steve-O!

when I download it and extract it to the folder containing exe, it does nothing. I run the game and the version comes up as Dec. 7, 2009 1095.
To see if it didn't completely take, I've clicked on the app and It goes black, then a windows button comes up telling me that it can't locate the PW. Why it does what it does , or doesn't, or why I can't get it to work I haven't a clue. Basically , I think it's just telling me "Your not smart enough to play this game! Your not worthy! Go find a five year old and have a nice game of checkers!".

I don't have to ask if you've put BOTH the files in the .zip into your AE folder, right?
