Hello,
can i put a new sound into this data ? I need a new Moving Sound like a Robot for this unit.i have Try to give the new sound a new number 16movment0. In the unitviewer it is ok but when i try to start a testscenario i become a error. Thanks for help






ok i have found the problem with the error i have put the mod outside the maingame. Now i put it back in the John Tiller's Campaign Series file and it works. But for what are the Sound.dat, i dont understand this

So you were able to get the sound to work in game?

The sound dat, when opened with the notepad looks like this:

The top line is all the weapon/explosion sounds. 9= nine 0 series explosion/weapon sounds, 2= two 1 series weapon/explosion sounds, etc. up to an allowable 26 sounds for those.

The second line is the number of associations for the movement sounds a total of 20 is all you can get that I've found. You'll notice though that there is a zero in the 17th movement spot (16th sound), so you need to put at least a 1 in there to allow it. Higher numbers give you more different sounds for that slot to cycle through, haven't experimented with how many you can assign to each one though!

The others deal with the assault sounds and all the other sounds in the game that cycle. I don't have my list at the moment to remember which line equals what sounds, but you can compare each to the number of each different ogg set of files to find out.

Ok, thanks for that. Now i understand why the new Sound that i put in works, it calls 16movment0, i think when i call it 17movment0 it works not. I must find it out

PS: give at a way to make more 3drunning or 13drunning files für a country, it gives one for Infantry and one for officers, but what is with horses or any other unit
