I think we're going to get a dose of your winter snow and ice here in NC.  I don't think this one is going to miss us.

Indeed. My neighbor has been running his generator quite a bit to get it warmed up. Probably be wise for me to do the same.

Generator! You don't need no stinkin' generator

It appears he will be away for the weekend, so apparently his Nervous Nellie wife wanted him to make sure it was working.

Southerners......

It's going to snow a lot here tonight. I love being able to say that.

I hate this winter. Ice everywhere.

I had to board my train this morning, and didn't notice that I was standing on a patch of ice. I took half a step, and then my legs just disappeared under me. Time slowed down, and I had time enough to think "this is going to hurt, and there's nothing I can do about it". Then I landed square on my tailbone; when 6 feet 6 inches and 235 pounds lands like that, it HURTS LIKE A <EXPLETIVE DELETED>!!!!!!!

I'm glad it's the weekend; I feel like a very large man has beaten me enthusiastically all over my body.

Once I stepped out the front door - without realizing it had been lightly raining on top of ground frozen by 15f temps for several days - legs went out from under me. I just had time to stiffen properly as I horizontally shot down the ~7 steps and right across the sidewalk.

I feel your pain.

Fallvergnügen!

"Potential rival"? Looks like a direct copy to me.

Not sure they have the tech to make a direct copy. But it id very similar in appearance. However, just as with the B-1/TU-160, while you have planes that look very similar, the internal components and even the mission may be entirely different.

Besides, a filibuster has to be done standing up, having only water or milk, and without bathroom breaks.

I know, but the thing's stated goal is to be a radar-invisible fighter aircraft. Besides, with 20 years between the first flight of the F-22 and this aircraft, technology advances.

They probably took it as the best working template. Cant say I blame them.

I also thought that the Raptor itself has been progressively updated as technology improves.

One thing I'm comfortable the Russians can duplicate is vectored thrust. The rest, not so sure.
