I think the Military channel is being co-opted. There is one show today about " LBJ and the Civil Rights Movement ", followed by " The MLK Jr. Assassination ". Both may be interesting topics, but what the hell are they on the MC for ? I guess the History Channel ran out of programming room due to all of the " Ancient Aliens " and Bigfoot shows.

I like the show 20th Century Battlefields.

It seems that a new ice rink has opened in town, much closer to our front door than the others.

Its blatantly obvious that you guys do not get snow regularly. If this were NY, some truck would have come by, spraying salt every which way, and pushing the snow from the road into treat big piles in your driveway.

Now, is that a Civic Del Sol in the background there?

The few state DOT trucks have spent almost all their time working on the interstate highways. Most of the secondary roads are not plowed or salted yet. Going to get very cold tonight, so they have already started canceling schools in the area for tomorrow.

And yes, the neighbor up the street does have a Del Sol. This pic was taken by my wife, standing in our garage. We've never skated down hill before.

I am not allowed on skates (ice or roller). I might break my neck

Nope, that one's in the garage. We put the Brit car in the driveway, along with our weekend house guest's car.

Brit?

Yeah, our other car is a Jaguar XK8 convertible.

So you like electrical problems?

Mornin' gents!

Back from a 7 day visit to Phoenix.

Did you guys know that they have water in the aqueous phase down there? Seems a bit odd, but to each their own, I guess. It does make trips to the pool somewhat more enjoyable, if I may say so.

What's been happening on THE THREAD!!! while I've been away?

We keep it in the aqueous phase down here also

Yep, the gaseous phase is a bit more difficult to work with.

Is that wife's wheels or your daily driver?

It has a bigger trunk, so whomever is going to hockey practice usually takes the Jag. We change up frequently.

Well, of course you do. No one's ever heard of any ice gators for goodness sake.

Speaking of which, what in the heck is going on with your Boa infestation down there (and Georgia and South Carolina too)? This has got to be the most odd exotic species introduction / transplantation I've ever heard of.

Lets not forget the various loggers, truckers and pawn shop people (although I have to admit that the last one did get my attention for 2 episodes).

Until you noticed the spelling?

Yeah. I bet he thought he was going to watch "Prawn Shop", about a Korean immigrant family that opens up a fast food restaurant.

They have pretty much declared open season on them.

people got tired of their "pets" and let them go rather than dsestroy them. Now they are a menace to the ecosystem

Any work I do tomorrow will be from home, Bruce. Finding a quiet place to be productive with 3 extra excited and rowdy kids in the house could be another matter.

Nah, we have had guests all weekend.  My wife's classmate from vet school 18 years ago has moved back to NC with her 2 boys.  They came over Friday evening to get snowed in here with us.

Well I was just researching something Cap Mandrake posted on his AAR. His car dealer wanted to fill his tires with nitrogen (for a fee). No he did not buy it

What a scam though. You do realize the air we breath is already 78% nitrogen?

I ain't buyin' it (or the nitrogen).
