Might that attract the attention of your superiors?

It might, especially if I decided to use the ready filled tyres we've got

The ones you guys use to play bowling with fuel cans?

Dixie, I strongly recommend against filling 'tyres' [sic] with liquid nitrogen. Your milage will NOT vary, as there will be none.

But, it would be a cool effect to see a car try to drive with its tires filled with N (aq.), eh?

How would you do that? Wouldnt it disintegrate the rubber?

Liquid Nitrogen would freeze the rubber. And the wheel rims. As soon as there was an attempt to move the wheels they'd shatter or snap.

He probably stopped halfway home from work to make snow angels and help the local children make a snow-man.

Feeling lazy today.  I worked for a while, shoveling the driveway clean of the ice.

Supposed to get a real blizzard here tomorrow. I might theoretically end up in a situation where I can't get to work. We shall see...

You can always hike (i.e. go on foot)...

BTW, how long it would take (best case scenario)?

Suuuure, Leo. 30 kilometers in blizzard conditions. Suuuure...

Ahhh... I thought you were much closer (5 km at most)... 30 km is way too far away...

Yeah, I know. To quote Keanu Reeves, "Whoa".

I remember seeing a tire immersed in liquid nitrogen, frozen, extracted and then hit with a sledge hammer. The slo-mo replay was pretty striking as the tire shattered.

Back from buzzing around town a bit. Main roads are pretty much clear so my drive to work will be no sweat tomorrow. Of course, rain is predicted.

Then more wintry mix this weekend. Stopped by the store to get a part for the toilet....guess what they were out of: snow shovels.

My wife and her friend went out to the grocery this afternoon.  It's a mile down the road.  They took their time to get some kid free sanity reclamation time.

The news just posted a chance for light freezing rain just after sunrise tomorrow.  My wife is supposed to drive to Greenville to work.

I'll very likely be right here tomorrow.  All the surrounding counties have canceled school for tomorrow already, and ours is expected to make an announcement by 6 pm.  The kids are all praying, and I'm hoping to be the "day care" service again tomorrow.

I think he's with the Earthling Relations Dept. here on Earth, so he has to deal with the same crap the rest of us do.

Today wasn't normal telecommuting, it was a "semi snow day."

Our kids are officially off school tomorrow. I just went out to get gas for my wife's drive in the morning, and the city streets are pretty clear, until you get to any spot that was shaded all day, then you lose a lane, or easily start fish tailing. Easy to see why one more day for no kids driving to school, and no school buses on the narrow side roads is a good idea. We just don't have the amount of snow removal equipment colder places are used to.

I do have a lot of time in a typical week when I'm watching installation progress bars creep across my screen.
