Hi all,

Just curious how many of our FUR-EN-UR thread friends will be watching our Super Bowl today? Just curious?

How did it end?

Was the result expected (i.e. favourite team won)?

Leo "Apollo11"

I think consensus is that it was an enjoyable to well-fought game. Personally, I was glad to see New Orleans win it, as they had never done so before.

What football game, I thought it was a rock concert with ad-brakes. That tea-party in Nashville sounds like the place to be, wonder if the Mad-Hatter was there!

P.S just kidding.

What bothers me is a Threadster and a man who has given so much to this game makes a small indescretion due to frustration and gets banned for a week. This troll is so offensive and hatefull that he should be banned permanetly......and nothing happens. Maybe that's why I don't post very much anymore. I guess it's just time for me to go back to the old folks home again. Nothing to see here folks!

Hi AW1Steve,

I like to console myself by noting that it was some yahoo over in the General Matrix Forum, not some WiTP or AE bretheren with the bad attitude. This guy's banishment or lack thereof is out of the control of those people that moderate the AE site-kind of an apples and oranges thing. I'm not going to be able to control every nut job that enters the Matrix forums, I just hope that they'll keep off of my 'lawn'.

Oh , I agree that they can't keep all the nuts at bay. I'm just lamenting that the people who do get banned are so often souls who contribute and help others. And when the crap birds are taken down, it seems like management feels that they have to be accompanied by someone who is a "good citizen" in some misguided attempt to be "fair".

My new minion started today. She is the smallest fully-grown adult human being I've ever met that wasn't a dwarf. If she's 4 feet 11 inches tall, that's maximum.

I stood next to her at one point while she was sitting down, and I got something close to vertigo when I looked down at her.

Yep. The trolls would be much less of a problem if Matrix would DO something about them. As it is, they tend to ride through bad threads like avenging knights-errant, slaying indiscriminately until all lie dead and damn the number of innocents included.

My ex was 4' 11" tall, and while I'm not quite as tall as you, I know what you mean.

The fact that you had delicious leftover beef fajitas for lunch, man!

Told the wife that Daltrey is but a shadow of his former self. The scream at the end of the set was clearly a track, not live. A sad set really.

But a good game.

I honestly have no idea what they sounded like in their prime, but that was rather uncomfortable to watch. At least there were no wardrobe malfunctions.

The most annoying thing about the Superbowl? Commercials every 45 seconds.

Au contraire. The Superbowl is the one time of the year that I let Madison Avenue 'do their worst'. I give their ads my full and unfettered attention for the game. Some are decent ads, most are OK. Some suck. I always find it interesting from a business perspective to see what the height of advertising is these days.

Thats true. Some of them were entertaining.
