Good morning, all...

Just curious how many of our FUR-EN-UR thread friends will be watching our Super Bowl today? Just curious?

Not even if you paid me, and seeing as you aren't then definately not. I really can't see what the fuss is about, I tried watching a game but found it dull, confusing and a waste of my time. Clearly it holds some sort of interest for you chaps (like baseball, or like football does here) but I can happily live without ever seeing another game of girly rugby ever again

I like it, started watching in 1983 when Channel 4 used to show it. Went to see the Bears a few times.

Da Bears....Ditka...Polish Sausage...Jordan...Da Bears...

(Used to love that old SNL superfans bit with the one guy Farley that repeatedly had to self-resuscitate during the skit...)

Which is why I prefer basketball. Much more straightforward.

I used to enjoy basketball when my son played it as a boy. Quite a good team they had, too.

Then they went downtown to play the black kids.

What happened?

Once again, Pas has come through

It's the Lingerie Football League! If Vince McMahon had thought of this, the XFL might still be in business.

I understand that the officials refrain from calling personal fouls, so you get a lot of hair-pulling wrestling matches ... and just think how enjoyable it would be to see those things on a wide receiver flopping up and down as she snares a pass and heads for paydirt (I'm talking about the shoulder pad flaps, you shameless twit).

Yes....

The most annoying thing about the Superbowl? Commercials every 45 seconds.

Considering how many Euros are not watching the superbowl, there are surprisingly few people here.

The Who look old, and it may just be me, but I think Pete's "guitar synching."

I like the stage.

Told the wife that Daltrey is but a shadow of his former self. The scream at the end of the set was clearly a track, not live. A sad set really.

But a good game.

Au contraire. The Superbowl is the one time of the year that I let Madison Avenue 'do their worst'. I give their ads my full and unfettered attention for the game. Some are decent ads, most are OK. Some suck. I always find it interesting from a business perspective to see what the height of advertising is these days.

Good game. Lousy music. What's the next washed up 60s performer(s) that they resuscitate for the Superbowl next year?

Thank you, thank you, you've been a wonderful audience.

Don't forget, T and I will be here all week, so bring out your friends and - whatever else you got - to enjoy the show.

That's all for me, goodnight, hope you enjoy the buffet.

The Searchers is on TV this afternoon. I'm seriously considering breaking my self-imposed ban on watching television.

The Searchers is my favorite Western, and one of my favorite movies.

such a great movie
