Speaking of which, just saw one for a new Russel Crowe movie titled "Robin Hood".

You mean Nottingham, Friar Tuck and the lot? Jeez. The concept has been done to death, just leave it alone...

To me it looked like another attempt at the "dark" Robin Hood theme, making him look less like a storybook hero and more like a real person. I dont really think much of the idea but I do have faith in Russell Crowe. Perhaps it is misguided bias but the man who played Aubrey that well deserves the benefit of a doubt from me I think.

My new minion started today. She is the smallest fully-grown adult human being I've ever met that wasn't a dwarf. If she's 4 feet 11 inches tall, that's maximum.

I stood next to her at one point while she was sitting down, and I got something close to vertigo when I looked down at her.

Mini-me?

What bothers me is a Threadster and a man who has given so much to this game makes a small indescretion due to frustration and gets banned for a week. This troll is so offensive and hatefull that he should be banned permanetly......and nothing happens. Maybe that's why I don't post very much anymore. I guess it's just time for me to go back to the old folks home again. Nothing to see here folks!

Yep. The trolls would be much less of a problem if Matrix would DO something about them. As it is, they tend to ride through bad threads like avenging knights-errant, slaying indiscriminately until all lie dead and damn the number of innocents included.

You have a point, but please give them some credit where it is due.

Apparently, very little happened this year....

—Office of pontifex maximus created in Rome.
—Cleisthenes reorganizes Athens. He creates the deme, a local unit to serve as the basis of his political system. Citizenship is tightly linked to the deme, for each deme keeps the roll of those within its jurisdiction, who are admitted to citizenship. He groups all the demes into 10 tribes, which thus form the link between the demes and the central government. The central government includes an assembly of all citizens and a new council of 500 members.

I agree. Research shows that unemployment is the leading cause of fabers worldwide.

Told the wife that Daltrey is but a shadow of his former self. The scream at the end of the set was clearly a track, not live. A sad set really.

But a good game.

I honestly have no idea what they sounded like in their prime, but that was rather uncomfortable to watch. At least there were no wardrobe malfunctions.

Guh....see my brain has this unfortunate compulsion. Any hypothetical situation under discussion will be vividly imagined for me and posted in the most well-lit portion of my stream of conscious. I will now have nightmares of a Daltrey wardrobe malfunction for weeks at least.

I understand the problem which is lots of forums and not enough people to man them. Moderating is a thankless job but someone has to do it. But the Matrix admins cannot keep up with the ever-flowing course of each forum to understand the players as much as the people in it. So yes, innocents do get caught in the cleanup. Don't be deceived that they don't.

Not complaining. I'm still here. But the troll problem needs to be solved via permanent bans on the FIRST offense, provided it is egregious enough. In this case, this troll had been on the boards bitching about the game for WEEKS. That really is unacceptable laxity. jwilkerson is a nice guy, but often too nice. But others can differ with my view with no ill will from me.

Normally it's as unusual for me to agree with the Martian as it is for me to agree with "the great dane". But this is the third time in one day that I must overwhelmingly agree with him! It's sort of like my feeling about the police. I greatly appreciate and praise a cop who does his job, but I don't have much use for one who blasts away and catches bystanders in wildly aimed shot gun blasts. Too many times have I seen innocents get taken out in "clean sweeps". Mynok is absolutely spot on in his assesments. I lack his eloquence , and usually simply walk away from the forums in disgust. The current case disgusts me to the point that I really wouldn't care if I was permanently banned.

Intentionally, repeatedly posting inflammatory remarks, with the intention of starting arguments and getting other posters in trouble.

I liken trolls in my mind to fishermen trawling or "trolling" for a bite.

I believe I'm going to go out tonight and make sure there are no unusual alignments of the planets or ominous signs in the stars. AW1Steve agreed with me thrice. Ye gods! We are doomed! Is it 2012 and we missed it?

Not sure about 2012, but Monday is almost over, and so far you haven't complained about how much it sucks.

Oh no you don't! I'm not trusting some Martian with an illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator to 'see if the planets are in alignment.' Not when my home planet simply obstructs his view of Venus. Not falling for that one again...

Pffft, I've got no time for the moderators any more. I asked a couple of them to have a quiet word with a troll a while back, several times iirc over the course of 2-3 months. Nothing happaned until he went running to them, he did get banned along with myself and a couple of others. If they'd have just told him to lay off a bit then it might not have come to that, and I would've felt they were at least trying. Instead I get ****ed off.
