at some point, Andy Mac (or somebody) posted how to ensure that you would get one of the alt-historical scripts when starting a game. And I can't find that post. I would like to try something a little out of the ordinary. It had to do with the numbered 1-12 .dat files. I just can't remember which numbers.

thanks in advance

LOL. I was searching for this very same post the except I want the historical only, I couldn't find anything so I sent Andy a message . I think the alt-historical are 7-12 but not positive.

How do you edit them? I fire up the editor and it just allows me to open the main scenario file not any of the -xx.dat ones.

No need to edit anything. I think you can just delete ones you don't like. Or it might be better to rename or move them...

I want to edit them. I want to see what they are so I can only remove the ones I don't want the AI to try. Besides that Andy said he wants people to add additional scripts. How can I do that if I don't know how to bring them up?

nm: I can just rename the files and edit them then.

Had a day off, couldn't wait, and changed one through eight of da babe's lite to .bak. I am sorry to hear that I missed out on a shot at seven. That's probably the best one.

For my efforts, I just took a five day pasting at Pearl. Now I won't have to worry too much about what to do with all of those old BB's. Almost everything left is pier side or in a ship yard for repairs. The CV's at sea are maneuvering to launch planes to Pearl in case he isn't finished, and I had to boil all my fighters at Pearl down into three squadrons.

I think I will miss the Phoenix and Helena more than the old BB's, but at least the St. Louis is still in the lineup.
