Friday off and just home from work ... ahh early weekend!

Time do dig into my AE turn!

You drink coffee after work?

Just to clarify if I misunderstood your question - I drink coffee first thing in the morning, at breakfast, before I go to the bus, at work, after work, after dinner, in front of the TV, and, just to be sure, a mug just before I go to bed

My Man!!!

I'm the same way. I only drink coffee when it is ready, or when I can make some.

My Man!!!

I loved that film, and the book as well. The first time I saw it I was fairly young so I didn't understand all of the subtext behind the plot. As I recall the original version I saw was different to the director's cut, there's some abiguity about Deckard himself that I don't remember from the first version I saw (it might have been there).
I read the book way back around that time as well when I was 13 or so.

Yeah, they messed around with it some in response to criticism. The theatrical release version had a voiceover of Deckard's thoughts and explanations, and a lot of critics hated it, so they released one that eliminated the voiceover. It sucked, of course. A later revision made it plainer that Deckard himself might very well be a replicant, but I don't think that's true to the source material, and it guts all of the philosophy underlying his whole inner conflict if true.

So, I prefer the first one.

Are you telling me that Hollywood actually screwed up a movie by piggy-backing their own not-clever view of the world on someone else's work?

NEVER! NO! NO NO No no....well...maybe....a bit...

Hollywood isn't alone.

The history behind the old series "The Starlost" is pretty funny.

My grandfather retired from Hormels and an aunt worked in the corp office until she retired. ohh I grew up on spam, yummy. Fried spam sandwiches are the best with mustard.

Growing up in MN I enjoyed these meals. My wife even admitted that a fried Spam sandwich with mustard was good Saturday afternoon chow.

Oh, yeah! Sliced really thin and fried with mustard. Crispy like bacon.

This thread made me hungry, so dinner tonight consisted of eggs over easy, fried spam and toast. Damn was that tasty!

All this talk of spam and food made me hungry for some canned chicken

What kind of food is this???????

Baaa...

A whole chicken? Bones and all?

Yep a whole chicken bones and all in a nice jellied slime

I quite agree old boy. Trouble is, it takes a lot of time to find farms and keep an eye on the pesky neighbours...

Rather unlikely. Meat-type chickens (broilers or heavier 'roasters') are slaughtered between 4.5-7 weeks of age, depending on the weight desired. Chickens don't achieve sexual maturity until between 18-20 weeks, breed depending. At the tender age that this one got canned, there was no possibility of egg production.

Well in that case it is even worse. An egg I could live with - random unexplained yellow goo, no thanks!

Yes, I quite agree. It really leaves something about culinary presentation to be desired, doesn't it?

@Aces8: Was there that big 'slurping' sound as this thing plopped out of the can?

Somehow reminds me of the first girl I ever saw naked back in 9th grade...of course, she had a bigger can than that.

There's a prescription powder for that, y'know.

Or, she could take the direct approach. What you do is shave off half your pubic hair and set the other half on fire. Then, when the little beggars run out into the open, you stab 'em with an ice pick.
