Had a "couples" massage with my wife this morning, followed by lunch at a local restaurant outside, and a drive through the countryside with the top down.  Now, she's taking a nap and I have a Guad turn in my inbox.

Good Thread, Mike, you guys should have a Robin Leach voiceover.

Alrighty then.....peas, shallots, radishes and spinach in the raised beds. And should get a nice rain overnight.

I believe it might be time for a beverage and a snack now. Wife just made bread this weekend. Yum!

BTW, it is the easiest recipe on earth and makes great bread. http://www.aresrocket.com/bread/  Cook it in pre-heated cast iron dutch oven.

On this particular planet, we generally BAKE our bread, we don't cook it as such...

Not necessarily T. Johnny cake , corn bread, and many other "pan breads" are actually "cooked" rather than baked. If you'll notice , the recipe calls for "cooking it" in cast iron. It's the heat from the pan , rather than the air (which is the medium in baking) that makes this a "pan bread".

Leave it to Steve to find the exception to the rule.

Baking is a subset of the larger 'Cooking' umbrella. No contradiction there whatsoever.

And leave it to the Martian to find a linguistic loophole to back himself out of predicament.

I've heard that if you looked up "irritating" in the dictionary, it'll have the Windows logo for a definition.

Nope. Just tried it.

I bet you did, too.

Can someone help me out?  I need a cup of tea, but Josh has fallen asleep on my lap and if I move he's going to do that crying thing that babies seem so fond of.  Mrs Dixie is asleep upstairs so I need someone to nip over and make me a brew.

Maybe, but then again I tend to make my tea so strong that most people stear clear.
Have Simon come 'round and do it. He can type in that link that you wanted at the same time.

Not sure, but usually I make my tea so strong that no-one else will drink it.

Good morning, sir. How's your weekend shaping up?

Quite fine thank you. It's been a lazy one since my little party on Friday. Just back from a promenade in the wonderful late winter/early spring weather. Picture attached - it's a little hazy (mobile phone cam) but you can get the mood of it anyways.

And you?

Edited: And BTW, stop "sir"-ing me, please. I'm not very used to it and almost always look over my shoulder to see if they mean someone else when that honorific is used

I'll need something to keep me sane......and prevent me from committing homicide!

So when are you going to break down and start doing PBEM's again?

Hopefully, soon.

I'll look forward to it. Perhaps someday I can get a rematch on our earlier vanilla WITP games?

Do you really want to play that after seeing the glory that is AE?

Until you get AE , vanilla WITP is better than no WITP. Besides , I stoll like WPO and I doubt they'll ever update that.

Gorgeous shot, Per. I especially enjoyed the young coumple featured prominently toward the center of the shot. Their closeness and body positioning betrays a romantic involvement, while the distance and clear separation suggests a break, or perhaps a quarrel.

You may have missed your true calling as an artist sir, I mean, dude....umm....bro......Per.

Thats actually quite touching, in a strange way. Maybe I'll treat myself for my birthday and get AE (finances willing).....but then theres that learning curve.....

Indeed he is, and I'm a crab not a squid. Proudly working for the world's most exclusive airline (i.e We fly almost exclusively to Afghanistan).
