Hi all,

Thanks guys - much appreciated!

I sincerely hope that "THE THREAD!!!" policy of no politics was not breached at all with this because this is just ordinary everyday question just like issue of being unable to commute due to snowstorm or having to pay high tax on booze in the Scandinavia...

I just asked how this much talked about thing (even outside US - believe it guys it was top news all around the world) would affect you as our thread brethren...

Again I sincerely hope that nobody was hurt (and why would be ) with this very cordial info you guys gave...

Happy to oblige Leo. But it might be better next time to request us to PM you. That way we can completely avoid offending anyone, and people can be totally open and be fully opionated. But be warned , it is a very, very emotional subject here. Especially in the DC metro area (where I currently reside).

Consider the record set straight. While I finally got Vanilla installed and patched. I still play both vanilla and WPO. So your choice. And for the record , I felt that our games were the most evenly matched games that I've played. That's why they were so bloody.

Well, I never sprung for WPO, so.....

Couple of questions, however:

1) Is there a comprehensive patch?
2) Did they ever get the sync issue resolved?
3) If much of the AE air model is based on NikMod, is it worth installing?

Not your fault at all, Leo. For such a hot-button issue (and I think opinions differ quite widely among Threadsters) I think we did pretty well. Northern Europe, however......

Air power in WPO is not terribly valuable or usefull. There is a patch. I thought they had the sync issue resolved, but don't know. Simon? You were quite involved in WPO testing. Any comments?

Of course we did. We discussed it with dignity, restraint and an almost adult like manner. T and I have had this debate many times , and no doubt will again when he comes back. He just has a different philosophy. My feeling is that if you treat people like children , they act like children. T feels that he's the only adult in the room (and a long suffering one , at that) and the rest of us belong at the kid's table.

Yeah. The people here have a very short attention span. Mainly because of the population make up. Most cities and states have insane asylums and pychiactric hospitals. Then about 40 years ago people figured out that it was far cheaper to just send the inmates to congress. And far more entertaining!

And the TV stations? Although we seem to keep all the pundits here.

No , I understand. I thought you were contemplating purchasing it. Maybe next time Matrix does a "package sale", like with WITP AE?

Most of the Networks are still in NYC. (NYC!) Some have DC bureau's ,and of course CNN is still in Atlanta. I'm not aware of any networks based in DC.

Yeah , from hell! Do to the Navy constantly interfereing with our plans, time, etc., the whole thing has been reduced to a "there and back again" trip. No vacation, no detour to Florida, and no good weather! No wonder I feel like a Hobbitt with a bad back! (and by next weekend, I'll be able to add a sore butt!).

Airpower is negligible in WPO so don't sweat it. Didn't know the synch issue had ever arisen in WPO, I certainly never saw it.
