Another update, this time for the USN BB. As there are little patches to be found for the Battleships, I followed the suggestion by TOMLABEL to use the state flags instead.

Alright, the very last of my IFAAF tail insignia.
Scrapped the bottom of the barrel for these.

Feel free to modify or update them.
Can't verify all for exact accuracy.

Comprehensive zip.

Doo itashimashite...

Feel free to correct any errors.
There were descrepencies between my sources and the game database.
Notably with plane type in the IJAAF units.
So I used the Sentai# as ground zero.

Hi Reg: Thx for the update on the B25s and Corsairs. Are these "previews" or the files to
download?
Also, can you advise on the mrchanics of posting a map shot, etc. to a post?

Thx.

Hi NAVMAN,

Unfortunately those are just previews as I have the art shown (and more) but need to format it into a distribution package suitable for installing into the game. I've been trying to put together a comprehensive package but things got busy at work. In the short term I might just do another incremental package and publish the complete package later.

As for publishing a screenshot, there have been many posts on the subject but you might find the following link useful. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=1825237

The following link is how to create a sceenshot. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2209998

Please find the download link below for the Rotating Allied Aircraft Side Art, Incremental Set006 part 1.

Note this is just a reformat of Cathartes excellent artwork.

This set includes the 1941 to 1943 Sideart for the following types:

RAF: Liberator II, Liberator B.III, Liberator GR.III, Lysander II, Mohawk IV, Mosquito FB.VI, Mustang IV, Wellington B.X, S.23 Empire
USAAF: A-20A Havoc, A-20A1 Havoc, A-20G Havoc, A-24 Banshee, A-24B Banshee, A-36 Mustang, B-18A Bolo, B-17F Fortress, B-24D1 Liberator, B-25B, B-25C, B-25D1, B-25G Mitchell, B-26, B-26B Marauder, C-46A Commando, C-47 Skytrain, F-5A, F-5A, F-5E Lightning, F-10 Mitchell, P-36A Mohawk, P-38G, P-38H Lightning, P-39D, P-39N1 Airacobra, P-40B, P-40E, P-40K, P-40N1, P-40N5 Warhawk, P-43A-1 Lancer, P-47D2 Thunderbolt, P-51A Mustang, P-70 Havoc.
USN/USMC: F2A-2, F2A-3 Buffalo, FM-2 Wildcat, F4U-1, F4U-1A, F4U-1D Corsair, F6F-3 Hellcat, PB4Y-1, PB4Y-1P Liberator, PV-1, PV-1N Ventura, R4D-1 Skytrain, R5C-1 Commando, SB2C-1C Helldiver.

This just about completes all the major types though I will need to go back through and fill in a few holes before I release a comprehensive set. Please note that this artwork set does not include late war colour schemes (USN and RN Navy Blue etc) as Cathartes didn't get that far with his original artwork which I have reformatted. Hopefully a task for the future.

=====================================================
Installation instructions:

Just unzip into your WITP-AE folder with the 'Use folders' option set.

(You should get a message that the "Art" and other folders already exist. This is good as it means the files are being unzipped into the correct locations).
======================================================

==================================================
THIS DOWNLOAD IS NOW OBSOLETE!!!

Please use the index to the rest of the Aircraft Rotating Art here.... to locate the latest version of this Rotating Artwork Set.
==================================================

Enjoy.

Thank you to divepac88 that did this for me.

This looks really good and will make an excellent placeholder for IJN ship screens.

Can someone make up a ready install package for all the major IJN combatants??

(You shouldn't need to do it by hand, there must be a utility or graphics package function that will make multiple copies and automatically renumber them to all the slots....)

Next combined USAAF update,

I'm going to have to start making my postings screen sized, so they don't get lost in the thread.

Photo, fighters, and bombers.
Wing sized updates.
4 updated bitmaps.

Okay now that the planes and insignia are done, from patch 4
47. Added hooks for revolving ship art similar to aircraft.

The ship art can now revolving.
