The board game or the movie?

The board game.

Agreed. Imagine how nerfing debates that game would spawn.

Edited: "how" should've been "what".

So after this "hit and run" on the THREAD, i tell "good sunday" to my pals, and i quit the internet to protect the computer and the modem;

We decided to forgo camping this weekend for threats of "strong thunderstorms". Havent seen a raindrop yet (although there was quite a bit of lightning across the sound in CT last night).

Where on Long Island are you?

I spent a summer working sailboats out of Sag Harbor, the only time of my life where I lived in Yankee country...

One of my favorite lines from the movie :

Pluskat - Die Invasion! … Es ist die Invasion !! Tausende Schiffe !!
Maj Dork - Pluskat … Pluskat, hören Sie mich, Pluskat? Und wo diese Tausenden des Schiffs gehens sind?
Pluskat - ZU .. MIR .. DIRECT !!!

I liked Pluskat. Liked his dog, too.

Commack. But last night we were at a friend's place in Northport.

Never really been to Sag. Its just a tad further east than we usually get aside from occasional trips to Montauk.

Is the gent in the picture wearing a single Crock?

Yes. It's my eldest niece. She injured her foot while playing basketball so she's had surgery.

That puppy sure seems to like the taste of plaster.

My next question was to ask if he had already devoured the other shoe.

I'm quite curious why you thought it was gent.....

You disappear from THE THREAD!!! for weeks at a time, and you're looking to start trouble the minute you poke your brush hat covered head in the door.

I hope things are well at your point of the Triangle, Brother.

I didn't stay there long... the super wealthy are not fun to work for. I did like the area though, it's certainly beautiful. Our cruising area ranged from Greenport to Nantucket. If only I had been up there with friends instead of captaining some jerk's boat...

Day 3 of my vacation from work tomorrow looks to be full of errands, packing, and cleaning in preparation for our departure Tuesday morning.  My lovely wife is working, and it will be my son's last day of school, so I get to keep busy.

Trade winds, blue water, salt air, and rum await at the end of a plane flight on Tuesday as a reward for my hard work.  I think I will come out ahead in the deal.
