I ask because I can't seem to open mine, I've tried reinstalling but still no go, it may be that I'm only using Acrobat5. I've played a couple of short games and reckon I have most of the basics anyway, but I'd like to check the manual before pestering the forum with questions.

Saying that I do have a quickie...All the planets no matter what type have 100%quality, what exactly does this signify?
Also as I'm here is there somewhere that a resort base displays it's scenic value? I placed one on a gold asteroid and forgot it's value, would like to check.

...last one is there a easy way to check what minerals are in a asteroid field rather than clicking through each roid? To say nothing of the odd one here and there in a system.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Acrobat 5 is likely too old. Can you download the latest free Acrobat Reader?

In 1.0.4.9, Quality is only used when a planet is damaged from a bombardment. Go by planet type and size. In 1.0.5 and later, quality will be used as a measure of actual planet quality not just for bombardment damage but overall.

Click on the object with the scenic bonus, or go to the galaxy map window and choose Scenic Locations and click through them to see their bonuses.

Hm, I think that one's pretty much check every asteroid. For systems, if you click on the system when zoomed out you can get a summary of all resources in the system.

Note that the expansion planner helps you filter and search and sort all this information to find out what resources you need, where they are located and queue up your construction or colonization ships to build mines or colonies at those locations.

Regards,

- Erik
