U2 are playing a couple of concerts in my town tonight and tomorrow night. 35000 people per gig must be almost intimate for them...

Are you planning to go?

BTW, they were here exactly 1 year ago and also played two full concerts (35000+ each) two nights in the row... the tickets were 100 Euros approximatively...

Leaving for a combined barbecue/poker evening. Laters, fellows.

That's why I use 'dudes' when in mixed company, sir. It's such a flexible term. Gender neutral, even. Well, 'dudettes' would be more specific I guess, but who's counting?

Oh, and a good morning tithe.

Hmmm ... I don't know if anybody noticed that I quit using "gents" after GZ showed up and instead switched to "fellows", which I thought were gender neutral

GZ, if I somehow offended you, please accept my apologies.

I don't think "fellows" is gender neutral...we may have to revert to the tried and true southern greeting: "How y'all doin?" Or the blunt and to the point: "Hey!"

Sorry, but in my book, all who post here are Thread Brothers, including GZ. The only "requirement" if you will, for posting in THE THREAD!!! is that you not take yourself too seriously.

Good morning, Brothers.

Last October, I finally got to take my son and wife to see them here. An intimate 65,000 seat stadium.

We sat way upstairs and only paid $35 per seat if I remember correctly.

So the alternative is "The Thread Brothers and The Thread Sister"? I just got a flashback of the Animaniacs.

T, is this the place that is less than a mile from you?  You could just pour a cold drink, throw open the windows, sit back, and enjoy.
