Well I've got quite a few games played in now. Noticed a few things more so the more I play multi player.

Indirect fire is brutally effective no matter how you employ it. Good at suppressing armour so it is easier to approach. Easier at suppressing tough infantry locations so again they too can be approached.

Air power, I have seen half my planes shot down actually. On the plus side, I shoot a lot of the enemy down too. Which means your AA vehicles are not just nasty things to shoot up troops with. Learn to position them well, it counts.

In multi player, it's you or them. No time limits means take your time, make the right moves early on. Rushing gets your troops dead.

Tigers, probably the most over rated vehicle in the game. If it isn't failing me miserably, it's me blowing up theirs. Got me 4 Tigers in 2 turns in one of the new solo endurance maps.

Transported, likely the most poorly used vehicle in the game. Do NOT get them shot up. Especially anything armed. Tracks are just too useful. But trucks are good for speed too.

I have been doing as well as Germans, as I have been doing with the Allies. I don't think one side has an automatic edge. Granted you need to learn which side is good at what on each map. In the desert the Germans enjoy speed. In Europe I think they lack speed with their heavier armour.

I have found finding the proper place to be in a multi terrain tile location like buildings in a city takes a lot of practice. Do you sit in the obvious building tile for instance, or wait in ambush in the tile beside it. You learn that you need to anticipate which tiles the opponent will need to traverse to get a shot on yours. Then you position other units to use supporting fire against the unit you have forward. The opponent shoots at yours, and causes response fire from your supporting units as well.

Street battles are the deluxe challenge so far. I have found the fighting in the urban locations is the tougher of all the situations.

It would be nice to know just how many of us are actually out there doing the multi player thing right now. I have about 10 games on the go at once myself. I have been finding most people are quick to send a turn, and most people seem willing to play out their battles to the bitter end.

I've yet to put in much time in solo play, simply don't have the needed time available :)

Game wise, it will be nice to see all the contributions as they arrive. I have not seen any specific need for 'bug fixes' and I have not seen any great need for 'expansions'. If the last week or so is any indication, this game won't need any expansions. The users will be pumping out plenty. I've not seen any game killing elements. I've seen some games go down the toilet after I guessed wrong on a couple of moves though :)

I currently have been finding the British to be the better side. Fireflies make good tanks, Kangaroos are good personnel transport. Archers and 17 pdrs are brutal too. The air support doesn't seem as great, but the arty missions are powerful. Likely all situational though based on the current maps I have been playing. I like em in the desert and I like em in the bocage.
