Hi

I'd prefer it stays up a little longer to see if the maps play ok further inland

No big deal either way but if you can keep this campaign going a little longer that would be better.

has anyone seen any out of place tanks/teams  like lots of King tigers/pershings etc?

thanks
paladin

So far, I have not seen anything out of place.  Also Team/Unit Refit options are often 'depleted' which is also good, though availability of Command Teams is thin  (have only played as Allies so far).  No worries though.

Leave the current campaign running for a while more gets my vote.

Umm.... well my first battle tonight i went up against: 128mm FH K-44..a few Shutzen.
MG's ,1 Jagdpanzer IV....so not much in the way of tanks.

Battle 2 was against: StuH'43.... Wespe..that's the first time i have seen the germans use that.
Mark VD & a Jagdpanzer IV. Then normal MG's Shutzen etc.

Same as VonB playing as the US...I shall give the germans a go.
Playing through the normal GC using the mod as well.

Quite a sensible range of Units and Teams on the whole.

Germans tend to have stug III and PzKw IV, with StuH 43, Wespe, a Nashorn (I think), Puma, JgdPz IV, and PzKwV (but not often).  Also SdKfz 251 Flammen, Sdkfz 250 Mortar, PzKw III.  First meeting with a Sturmpioneere Team last battle, but as Squib says, normal mix of MG's, Schutzen, Scouts and odd infantry.  PaK 40, FlaK 38, 128 & 150mm FH.

Allies have a fairly restricted mix, and often Depleted in the Roster.  Basically Sherman 75's & 76's plus a few SP guns.  After adding the heavy teams to the BG, they are noticably lacking in the Roster.

Lack of available Infantry Command Teams is a bit of a pain, but we survive

Pretty solid on the whole.

C'mon Quib, gotta push pesky Fritz back further before unleashing the Axis counter-attacks...

Eeeeck...wow it's a wee bit more difficult.
Last game was a Blood Bath...Lost most of my BG....uhhh...plaster!!!!
Takeing me a lot longer to get a full BG..again.
Only just won the last Battle...Flame dude saved me bacon.
Along with judicious use of Bazooka teams.
I use the maps with low german points to refill & rest on.

On low points maps the germans are bringing to the dance...
88mm Flak 36,Mortar, MG's ,Mark IIL so just a Light tank..& normal mix of Inf.

As I check now it's 2200 hours 11 June.

When the clock ticks over to 2400/0000 hrs, German reinforcements should arrive...

You need to backup your playername.dat files if you are going to uninstall an mmcc3 mod

Yep,i already back it up ,but thanks.

I unistall BO as normal...& the player name data is there in the folder.
When i reinstall BO again it is not there.
Yet it if i unistall BO..it's back.
I'm having to move the data out of the MMCC3 folder, then reinstall, then move the player
data back.
I thought it would place my data back....oh well....
Looks like i was wrong.

Yeh.. I'm pretty happy with the way it's playing too.

I do have a completely full roster all the time though.. because of so many points.

i can't seem to get more than 3 Tanks at a time and at the moment limited to just 1 greyhound.

I'm now getting just a commander to fight again.
Same as last time.

I was getting 75mm TurnPak's & Mark IVJ's. the odd Sturmtiger.
Then it went to IG Aufkl-Auto's & a lot of 37mm Flak Aufkl's + normal Inf.
Then it went to just the commander.

I have 2 X 76's shermans,1 Calliope,1 Sherman Flame.
So a wee bit better than you're self.
But when i Lost 2 of them, they sat out until i was given support from headquarters.
Very much needed points.
I did start with 2 command tanks...lost them way back.

Another 2 battles moved the time on to 23:30 hours... reinforcements should arrive within 1 or 2 more battles.

I'm a bit surprised that the germans have become depleted , so will look at that for the 15 June.

You are also unlucky thet no other players are online... so have to bare the short 8 battle period that you report as occuring.

Germans must be low on reserves. Still meet with a PzKw IV, Stug III/IV and some Support stuff, but thin on the ground. My BG is reasonably well stacked with armour and heavy infantry so it's relatively easy going at the moment.

16 June - Allies still advancing

15 June found the Axis AI with very little fight in them... rarity checked and fine but maybe points are just too low???

Oh, I dunno... in the last battle, a pesky Hetzer popped out of the woodwork (or shrubbery), and trashed 2 Shermans and the AT gun before I was able to bring in the cavalry. However, the German BG's are tending to be much thinner, but then there's a paucity of points for the Allies too, so attrition could still become and issue.

In some ways this is preferable to having loads of points available all the time, leading to heavily stacked BG's. At the moment there are not enough points to replace a destroyed Sherman. Having the occasional bonus points allows you to refit and add Teams and Units, but you still have to try and be careful. You alos appreciate the bonuses when they come (though I have only had this happen once this Campaign so far...).

So I am all for having modest points for periods of time, even lengthy ones, with the occasional periods of better points.

I went a few more..still got the 1 commander.
Then that changed to Mixed Inf & what looked like a Ostwind.
The battle ended before i got another look at it.
Next few were..IG Aufkl's & a few Flammenwerfer.
The odd Hetzer now & then.
Still nice that i can carry on....was just about to cross over to the dark side as well.
I got the bonus, don't remember how often...& yep that came in handy.
Yeah it is a shame it's been empty at times...3 has been the most i have seen on.

I am thinking of continuing as Allies until the capture of Thaon, then the dark side might beckon... . I don't often play the Allied Sides, so this has been a pleasant diversion

Haha...i'm doing a wee bit better as US now.
Just got the first Konigstiger in game so far.
That was a git to kill...2 AT teams 3 tanks later & dead.
I shall romp on a bit longer then.

I got the Konigstiger tied up on a hedge then hit it with the AT & Tanks.
Still did a massive amount of damage....if it had stayed on the path i think i would have lost them all.
Stick milk down for the kitty & wait.

King Tigers... always get a bit of a shiver when faced with them... The relatively slow rate of fire and slow manouverability can be exploited, but it is pointless to try and take them on H2H at any distance. Fortunately, WF terrain usually provides plenty of scope to get up close and personal, which can level the terms a bit.

Have't seen the Tiger II yet, but thanks for the heads up!

LOL! Well what do I come across in the next battle?... A Tiger II. Fortunately, it and a couple of it's buddies decided to come strolling down the brow of a hill, right into a hail of 76mm...

Thaon now in sight...

Uhhh...back to 1 commander again.
I was seeing a good mix of tanks & Inf.
Swept up around Thaon went in straight lines.
Way over 15 battles & still 1 commander.
Point's are high as well i see some with 210/250.
My US BG + Medals.

I hear the darkside calling.

Ahhhhhhh...3 Attemps now as Germans & i have come to a stop.
Starting Battle Pool: 3 AT, 1 Light Mortar team ,1 Enginner team,1 sniper,1 command team.
I have had 356 Req points each time....just need to get past the first win.
Ok..so no win...but a truce.
That's good enough to get me a better Pool.

I changed to the Dark Side last night.  As you say, the first Roster a bit bizarre:

2 Befehlsgruppe
1 Zugfuhrer
1 Ersatzpioneere
3 Snipers
2 PaK 40
1 PaK 38
1 50mm mortar

That cleaned out the Roster!.

The first battle surprised me a bit.  The Allies came on quite aggressively, but no armour.  However I was fortunate enough to hold a couple of reasonable defensive positions, and ws able to beat them back, though one position was very touch and go.  The BG Commander picked up an Iron Cross First Class in the first battle.  It was intense at times...

In the next battle, the Roster populated with a wider range of support, infantry, and armour.  Traded in a couple of AT guns to beef up the points to get a Panther, but the infantry is still very thin.  Cross fingers I don't get overwhemed by Allied armour in the next battle.  So saying 5 Shermans appear, including 76mm variety.  We survived the encounter intact.  Managed to add a JgdPz IV in the next battle.  Allies popped up with at least 5 Shermans again.  The JgdPz IV got trashed but the Panther survived.

All the snipers were killed.  Had to use them as infantry substitutes, and they are not so good at dealing with aggressive enemy Squads, and once spotted, armour will target them and take them out.  If it wasn't for the panther, I think I would be having a very hard time.  The points are not high enough to beef up the heavy weapons much, and the Allies have a bucket load of them it seems.

Still, I shall see if I can claw my way back into it.  The BG is a bit short on heavy weapons (the Panther and the PaK 40), at least the infantry has a better mix now.  It may just be me, but I reckon that the Allies are playing more aggressively at times than the Germans were as AI...

Glad you both are having a hard time as well.
I mean that in a nice way...makes me feel a lot better.
Got me first win as germans Hedge 1.
That map had 6 truce's....lost most of me BG.

As the US..the germans would keep a good chunk of their BG back.
Play them late in the game..or sit & wait close to a VL.
But the US seems to send the lot in one go...that's why ive had such a hard time.
So yes...i think they are more aggressive...6 odd games & i have been swarmed each time.
I cross over just as the Pershing arrive.
