I noticed that there are different (front) armour values on the king tigers in the scenario "a tragic stand". The two tigers that reinforce on turn 2 have lesser front armour. Is this deliberate, and if so what is the reason. Very fun scenario (as germans

Either the scenario designer deliberately wanted these armor values or the scenario hasn't been updated for the new v4.4 OOB's. BA Evans P.S. I just looked at my notes. The scenario has been updated for v4.4 and was created by Wild Bill Wilder. You might want to contact him directly about these values.
