Cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Pour that over a base of smashed up digestives. Stick it in the oven for about 10 mins on a high heat then down to a low heat for 20 mins or so. 2 hours of cooling before it gets left in the fridge overnight.

Woof! Sounds good. A lot of the recipes say farmer cheese, but all we can really get in the States is neufchatel. Is your cream cheese like ours'?

For a base of smashed up digestives I use crushed zweiback and some walnuts or roast pecans with melted butter. Great stuff for the rolling pin!

We've got a wide selection of cream cheeses available here, even in sleepy Oxfordshire I was lazy and sent Mrs Dixie with a list while I was asleep, she brought back Philadelphia cream cheese. This was the first time I've made it so it was a bit of a test run, so there wasn't anything complicated done with it.

I've got a fair amount of the mix left, maybe some small ones with HobNob bases will be a possibility

Hello, guys... surprised this hasn't been locked up... the original Thread ("Test Thread", aka "Thread I") was locked up for far less display of female flesh... of course, i think it was one photo that kicked the mod over the edge (but he instead of deleting the post, he used the trend to lock up the Thread.)

Most of the old stalwarts seem to be around, with the exception of Bobbo... what happened to him??

Hi Bob, good to see you!

Bobo moved to Florida a couple of months ago, and we suspect he is still in the clutches of multiple beach bunnies who are distracting him from THE THREAD!!! (At least that's what he hopes.)

Yeah, but I bet your cream cheese is better than our cream cheese

I love cheesecake - at least if we talk about the same kind of cake...
Its my favorite cake!

Do tell, since apparently there is a German version called käsekuchen. I'd like to see a recipe to compare to our style of cheesecake (which is like what Dixie made).

Watching football while puzzling out a turn. In about an hour I'll start my roux for my shrimp and oyster gumbo.

Life is indeed good.

Personally, i have no objection... but i was just warning that in the past such things have gotten the Thread locked down... however, perhaps a change has come about, and we can get the old Thread unlocked???

Whereas these are published book covers, maybe it's clear enough which side of the line they are on.

I think I am goinng to trot down to my used book store sometime this week and pick out a few of these Nick Carter books. Back in the day I read a majority of the Bond books.

Good morning guys.

Great. I have an office that I must leave from time to time - because somebody is smoking cigarettes in the office next door and my lung hurts when I inhale cigarette smoke...
I hope the janitor will be able to close the connection door airtight...

The weirdest thing: I am selling and smoking cigars - but can't stand cigarette smoke...
