ORIGINAL: Mynok Oh dear...what poor, bloody lot got relegated and let Stoke City and Wigan into the Premiership? Over the years, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds, West Ham, West Brom, Wolves, Blackburn, Swindon (anyone else remember them being in the Premier League?), Wimbledon, Portsmouth... Having hopes for my favourite team since 35 years back. QPR looking good ... I like my (at best) mediocre Lincoln City. No danger of finishing in the top half, let alone the top division any time soon Their best league performance was in the third division waaay back when Graham Taylor managed them after retiring through injury. If your best ever period in 125 years of existence is a single season in the third (of four) professional divisions then that's a record to be proud of That's quite the record, why screw it up in a burst of competance? I know, we came close when Keith Alexander managed the team. 5 seasons in a row we reached the playoffs without promotion. It's a record! Also we were the first team to ever be relegated to the conference (non-league). And iirc the first to be promoted from it the next season. I don't support Lincoln because they're good, but because they're my local team from when I was growing up. Sounds like the Cleveland Browns or Pittsburgh Pirates of your league, Dixie.
