Back at work after going with my wife to buy our second Porsche over lunch - Tithe.

2009 Cayenne with only 8100 miles on it.  Perfect hockey trip transportation.

A porsche for hockey?

You've never heard of "street hockey?"

Growing up in St. Paul I played Street hockey. Basically you play hockey in the street. Put on roller skates, I guess that would be roller blades today. Put out a couple of goals that are easy to move. Grab a puck, we used a really dead tennis ball or crushed beer cans. Get your hockey stick and behave badly. Time outs are announced "CAR"!. Don't know that penalties existed. Hey, it was the 70s, Dino and the great one were playing a rough game.

You did keep score but play usually ended with an injury

Good times on North Pascal Street

Brad, I'm the (not for a few years but really want to again) triathlete.

The Cayenne has a trailer hitch, just waiting for a bike rack to be plugged into it.

John, we have a full size goal in our garage for the driveway, and a smaller, 3 x 5 goal that disassembles quickly to go in the back of the truck for Hurricanes game tailgating.

When I was a kid on Riverside Avenue in South Baltimore, the street action was Nerf football, from one telephone pole to the next for end zones. We didn't play any hockey growing up, or even when I lived in Rochester, MN. I had to move to the South to become a huge hockey fan.

Nice try, I've never driven a SUV in my life (nor would I!). I drive, and have always driven, a sub compact. Nor am I or have I ever been a triathlete. But a hater of Vespa's or Mopeds that race between cars in traffic in reckless and break neck fashion in heavy congestion, putting everyone at risk to gain two feet of pavement? Guilty as charged!

They only risk their only live, not yours. So isn't this their personal right to risk it?

They risk everyones lives. You've never seen accidents occur because of people trying to avoid hitting someone? Driving in this country is a privilege , not a right. And as one of our most reverved judges once said "your right to swing your fist ends at your neighbor's nose". Playing Russian roulette is risking your own life. Playing it on the highway system is risking everyones.

I keep asking myself that. I'll try to remedy that again (in a couple of minutes). So how are you today?

I can understand that. But for me it's 2 to 3 am. And I don't work nights! I think I'll go and try to salvage a couple of more hours sleep before 5 am comes.
