... and an UNP. Long time since last one.

Edited: This is turning out to be a good evening. I just sank both CV Junyo and CVE Unyo with LB dive bombers. Go me!

Is there any decent place in Burma to defend?

No.

To expand a bit , you defend from India and China

Well, yes. But in the old game there were at least a few points in Burma that could have been held. Looking at the AE map, however, I'm seeing a lot of good land for maneuver (Japanese maneuver, I mean, not mine).

The Indian border is probably the best place to defend Burma, early doors your Brit/Indian infantry are pretty poor and the Burmese infantry are worse The best you can hope for is to slow down the Japanese advance without getting cut-off and killed.

Good advice. Defending in this terrain gives you time to spot where the jap focus lies. This combined with better internal lines of communication (than S of the mountain range) makes it a good place to make a stand. Just beware of invasion in the Chittagong/Calcutta area though, which could cause you to be outflanked.

Edited: Grammar.

There's a few forested hexes in the central part of the country that are significantly better defensive hexes than the open ones. Those are death traps. The biggest death trap of all is Rangoon. No retreat likely.

Incidentally, why do my PT TFs keep retreating? Commander aggression?

As in reality, PT Boats only press an attack if they've got a good attack angle and can surprise the enemy. Otherwise, they abort.

Seems to be exactly what's happening.

The only times I've had successes with PT boats is when I've waited for the moonlight to be near 0%. Bad weather also helps getting into knife range.

Is there a button to court martial commanders for pusillanimous conduct in the face of the enemy?

You can, of course, pay PP to replace MOST commanders. I think what you're looking for is a button, with Cyrillic writing on it, that says "take him out and shoot him". Alas, no such luck in this game.

Ah, my fowly friend, you understand me so well. But I would only shoot the first few dozen or so. The others would hopefully get the message after that.

Correct. I labeled it with Allied interim, but maybe we need a little better system.

No problem...we use slot 18 as our interim slot as well. Just make your own dropbox folder for you and Steve and use it for your turn passing. That's what we do. No confusion then.

Death's Head Conspiracy (1973 US and 1976 UK)

The deathmaker was a small device no larger than a pacemaker. Knox Warnow, ex US atomic scientist,
knew this. He had a device implanted in his chest. He also knew that if his heart stopped, the bombs that he had panted all over the US would explode.

The Code (1973 US and UK 1974)

It was a brutal killing. Among the bullet torn bodies lay a man. He possessed info on the opium fields
Indochina and living on a Mafia pension. another body belonged to an important Govt agent. The only lead
was a terrified lady who knew more than she was willing to admit. It was a chase to see whoever reached her first.

Wow ... one of the things I liked about the Bond books was Smersh ... Smerts' shpionam (ñìåðòü øïèîíàì) ... oooh, wet work looks so cool when it's done in Cyrillic.

I have this "PC Remote Controller" and it is great little thing (4$ including shipment from eBay)!

It comes in 2 variants - mine is smaller and black (I need it for my laptop / notebook) and the other one is bigger and silver.

Here are the "instructions" in "China English" .

Please read it and if you understand how to program A,B,C,D Hot Keys by reading the "instructions" please post here (I did manage to figure it out - but just partially)...

Aaaah! Engrish.

So... no takers on translation help for HotKeys programming and usage?

Here you go:

"Push some buttons. If that doesn't work, push some other buttons until the device does what you want it to do".

Onime,

Rioja...

My Basque wife definitely would approve, but she might be dissappointed in so few dead soldiers over such a long period of time!
