I don't know about a demo, but I can speak about the game play. At one level it is a very simple interface and incredibly easy to move and fight - although the strategic aspects are deep as you can see from the AAR. But it is fast and fun in the manoeuvre and brutal in the combat. Once you go off map and into the TOE's, support units, air units, leadership attributes etc etc and try to manipulate all of this stuff with limited admin. points it is very complicated. You don't have to do this stuff, but you will probably want to as you start to learn the game, in order to squeeze as much advantage as you can. I am playing by email at present and believe me, you will want to get into all this stuff against a human enemy...! I am not into the very fine detail, as some of the team are, but boy do I want to make the best of what I've got. If the East is your bag, this is a must have game - and this is from someone who has mainly played tactical (Squad Leader, Combat Mission BB) and operational level (most recently Kharkov DotD) wargames before now. (I make no money from this promotion! )
