I have to agree that the guns in the game are too easily taken out. Just an area hit can make them explode and if not they take out a crew member. The crew are always standing behind their guns, they should lie down when not operating the weapon. I happens very often that my guns are taken out with a few mortar rounds (often just 1, not even a direct hit).

MGs and small arms fire is also really dangerous to gun crews. Those 2cm flak have no gun shield, I had my crew elimated by a .30cal at 500m in 30 secs, while in a weapon pit (on grave).
The gun shield seems to offer some protection but if the gun gets flanked then the crew drops like flies, they go down much faster than an infantry team would it seems.

One turn after moving up/down river between Best & Son, both XXX Corps infantry BGs were able to move from Best to Son Heath, and from Son to St Oedenrode. The game added back the 2 tanks it had removed from their active rosters even though neither BGs could trace a supply path.

This made me laugh

The sniper killed the whole 2cm Flak crew with 1 shot

I was going to try the same on the 88 but it fired first

Psssh...a one in a million shot. The crew was momentarily all cheek-to-cheek for a group photo and you happened to plug the four of them with one round through their ear holes.

I thought I fired straight down the barrel setting off the whole clip... but your suggestion seems more likely.

Andrew already reported both issues on 11/30/10 in our bug tracker. Was no need for comment. They'll get looked at.

I don´t like that the guns are way too vulnerable (and visible) and easy to destroy by mortar fire (same goes for TLD).

P.S. Perhaps it´s just a feature.

I'm stuck with my campaign now.  KG Goebel was forced off map at Mook and all its units were destroyed.  The KG has arrived back on map the next day, but with no units.  The result of that seems to be that I can't advance to the tactical map or advance the game

Sorry Dixie

CORRECTION - No NEXT button from BG screen.... no German teams available.

So the game is stalled.

So, hold on for the moment.

GC...H2H...im hosting as allies. 021B patch[ same as before ]

Grabner SS at Njimegan bridge against AB.....second battle there.
when we went to deploy our troops for battle the germans could NOT deploy on my side of the river in the town where we had fought the battle before. the allies got a butt kicken in the battle before and i only held 1 VL in the town by the road bridge and 2 VL's on the road bridge. ther germans held ALL the other VL's and the rail bridge. the germans could only deploy on the other side of the rail bridge and on that side of the river. BUG???

here's the file attached but you have to fught thru 2 or 3 static mop ups to get to Njimegen bridge...sorry

STEINER

I can play that saved game in single player as Allies... not sure whgere Germans are setting up.

Game crashes in MP.

Game crashes when trying to play the saved German side.

Looks like the Germans have merged BG's previously?

DIXIE.. try the attached fixed save game

From the lead Developer

"A BG retreated off the map, had no units left after re-organizing (all too weak and removed) and not enough points to buy anything when it came back, even though there are some teams in the FP.

Added a check for this condition before bringing the BG back to the map."

germans have not merged any BG's as far as i know.

game didnt crash on us??

the germans could only set up on the top side of the map, on that side of the river. not on the bridges and not in the main town which they held 90% of the VL's in.

As germans in single player the best deploy i could get was almost to the railroad bridge VL.

So no movement onto this map this turn?

The fact that the units in Graebner's active roster have green 'point cost' numerals indicates none of those units has been in battle. Pretty certain then that Graebner moved onto Nijmegen Bridge this turn, from either Bemmel, Oosterhout or Wall N. Bank. Tests show that, given a similar scenario, if the Axis controlled both Nijmegen bridges, that Graebner is able to enter the map from the north and deploy south of the Waal. The issue is - since the Axis controls the railroad bridge, why cant Graebner's units deploy south of the Waal?

At recruit difficulty Graebner has 6 slots. After merging with the Nijmegen Bridge static BG, Graebner gained the 3 empty slots shown in schrecken's screencap.

trust me when i say that THIS BG...Graebner ...already fought one battle on this map...i fought it there. they lost allot of troops in the 1st fight. as for merging im 90% sure now that andrew pointed it out that my opponent did merge greabner with someone. NOT the static BG....it did that the turn before this one. theres german Para's in this roster...graebner was an SS recon BG, so....

any ideas what happened at Mook? [ as above ]
