Not been to happy with my play over laast 6 months squadnered a good position well now he is invading Efate and probably New Cal and there is not a lot I can do about it as I hadnt built either up (deliberately more or less)

At Kalmeyo I have ordered IV Indian Corps to replace XV Corps on the line 3 Divs will exchange over the next week with battered Divs being replaced by fresh ones. Not a lot to say apart from that I have options and ways of gettiong back intot he fight but they will take time and patience.

My garrison at New Cal has a full strength Kiwi Bde so its not totally impossible to hold we shall see

That´s awfull to say "I told you so" but I told you so ....
It is reassuring to know that at least there are some good defending troops in Caled.
Now more than ever your theme is again "patience, patience, patience"
Good luck

No landing at New Cal....weird but hey I will take it.

My flak claims 20+ Helens for the 3rd day in a row why come in at 9,000 feet it brings all 130+ 40mm into play adding to the 113 x 3.7" AA Guns.

I may not be able to fight him off with fighters but massed AA guns will get the job done

A japanese Armoured Regt roadblocked yesterday but with 200 C47's supplying them the box holds with ease...

Defensively its ok he has wrecked a lot of units fighing around Kalmeyo

Interesting I am not dissapointed by that especially as he lost a lot of the damaged aircraft flying into a flak concentrations.

My Inf loses are not that bad - 32nd US Div took a real beating and is down to 30/70 the Indian Divs are are at 40/93 and 7th Aus is at 53/96

So the US Div that can best afford the casualties is the one that took the beating.

I think Battle of Burma is over....he has been quiet for a few days now and the monsoon is nearing i will write up the whole battle soon

That really isnt that bad at all. All those disabled squads will come back with some R&R. But do they return with the same experience level as they had when they were disabled aswell?

I suffered more in the Battle of Katha but in general my troops will be back at full strength after the Monsoon.

I will have better infrastructure to support them.

The key thing is that I have managed to avoid committing and wrecking my Divisions in the battles if I had shipping I could take advantage of it but for now I dont have the ships.

I have plans and things that I am ready to launch but I need to wait and recover my pools and get new types into the front lines - by october 43 the CBI will explore again

OK the Allies have almost finished lickign their wounds new plans are being evaluated.

In 20 days the RN carriers complete their refit

In 60 days Saratoga is back from the Yard Dogs

In 80 days the fleet is stronger than it has ever been....

New plans are forming an Army reorganisation is under way which will combine my strength into 3 powerfull thrusts

CENTPAC (6th US Army - 4 Corps, 12 Divisions)
SWPAC (1st Australian Army - 3 Corps, 12 Divisions)
SEAC (14th Army - 3 Corps - 13 Divisions)

Theatre Reserve - III Indian Corps - 10 x Motorised or Armoured Bdes

My original bloodless plan wherebye I advanced with minimal losses had to fall by the wayside after my losses off of Palmyra - achieving the objective and attriting the enemy is now the order of the day...

My intention is to hit multiple axis at once forcing PZB to divide hos forces - he has interior lines I must drag him in three different directions and force him to commit to stopping one axis.....

The others will then gut him

Not at the same time

The Line Islands continue to keep my attention they are a dagger at the vitals of the PH convoy routes.

I must neutralise them somehow.

Instead of attacking head on, how about capturing Canton Island? That would cut off the Line Islands and the Marquesas. Any intel on the Phoenix Islands? Do you have enough troops/ships in SoPac for such an operation?

Sorry guys the usual manic pre Chritmas workfest....

General update not a lot to say I have been bombing Horn Island

Air Mining Rangoon and Darwin

Prepping various invasions

Repairing ships and refitting LCU's in Burma.

In general I am sitting waiting for new construction.

PZB raided a convoy between PH and SF it was a cargo convoy with 130k supply on board - he passed through my sub screens like a ghost but he missed all the big tanker and troop convoys so I am irritated rather than annoyed.

PH now has 5m supply and 3m fuel so I dont need to provide much more supply

I though about sortieing to deal with KB but 3 of my 4 Carriers are finishing refit so Idecided to let it pass for now.

My time will come

Are you saying that if all four CVs were in working order you would have sent them out against the KB?

Do you have Avengers and Hellcats on those 4 CVs?

Not sure....

I would have 4 CV's plus Hermes plus lady Lex and Essex coming from West Coast backed by about 13 CVE's

In all honesty probably not but KB stuck on the wrong side of PH with 30 subs vectoring in and a lot of surface assets also not sure he has all KB there proabbly not rhe CVE's so all in all 60:40 had the fleet been fully capable whether I would have sortied...

As it is I dont need to make that call (yes Hellcats Avengers and Helldivers on all)

OK Guys I have not had a good 6 months but the floodgates arte about to open as new ships come off the production line.

Slowly but surely my strength is rising and new plans are being arranged.

My next offensive will be an overland attack on Darwin - I doubt PZB will try to hang onto it I will commit the full armoured Corps to the attack
