Mon francais est tres bien.

- I am sure it is (no joke in here)

Going to try and go over the Millau bridge too, that looks cool. Thinking if we do Pompey-Caen ferry we can drive down to Le Mans and then go via Tours. 10 hour drive, do it in 1 day down and maybe 3 or 4 back stopping off in the Loire valley.

- Good choice. If you want to visit, try CHAUMONT SUR LOIRE castle, or even better, CHAMBORD.
If you just cross the valley, it is in fact very quick. But the landscape is nice

ENJOY YOUR VACATION THIS SUMMER !

Heads up, Brothers!  Steve's favorite PBEM partner of all time is back on the forums!

Good grief. Let's hope it's a brief, painful interlude...

G'night, y'all!

Lets not. Let's hope it's a quiet, painless interlude. The forum's have had way too much conflict recently. It doesn't need any more.

We let Steve manage the "rock salt defenses".  I believe he has a few Geezer Deputies as well to help out.

Steve's busy employing "the shovel defense". Three times by noon. Oh my aching back!

Mike, IMHO there exists no "good" monday mornings, especially when it's the first working one after a three week vacation ...

Every day is a good day if you make it so. (Where's that pink, fluffy cloud smiley you use in the geezer thread?)

That one is reserved for needling Steve

BTW, congrats on those hockey wins in the weekend!

My solitary attempts to make it so are easily counteracted by many others incessant attempts to make it not so.

We'll just have to make a club then, and keep all of those sour pusses out.

I'm not sure you could find it, Andre. It's been quite a while since we updated it and you may have to go back a lot of pages.

Hey, hippee-turn off that peuk song! Steve may have fallen down on his driveway and broken a hip or something! So, while he's being carted off, someone's gotta mind the shop.

This is nuts. There MIGHT be some snow in Memphis 24 hours from now. And the weather people have been talking about it for days already. And people are going to the store. I have gotten several emails from friends warning me.

Because there MIGHT be snow. Maybe 2 inches. We Southerners are very funny about this.

Of course maybe I can use it as an excuse to drink my Congac for two straight days.

What's Congac? Is that a Tennessee thing?

Oops. I think I had already been into the Cognac by then

Finally gathered my courage to continue my WitE game, and the blizzards have just begun. I feel like I'm standing at the bottom of a mountain wondering what the rumbling noise is...

I was wondering about your game. I am watching your progress. Winter time seems quite tough for the Germans in WitE.

Was watching the Star Trek movie where they promoted Worf and made him walk out the plank to claim his new hat. A small vignette, for sure, but just so cool. Somebody who knew ships had a hand in that little scene.

Capt. Pickard, with that almost genetic French insouciance and je ne sais quoi; “Just imagine, Will, a life at sea in the old days; no engines, no computers, just the stars to guide you.”

Cmdr Riker, with that almost genetic British aplomb and gift for understatement; “Yes, Sir; nauseating food, brutal discipline, no women.”

You'd have to go back further in the AARs-I don't think we've updated it for 1.5 months of game time...
