Status: offline 		The wee Chinamen dobbers SE of Sian are well motivated because they don't have a retreat route. Maybe they can catch and roast up a few panda bears.

We have an amazing number of wee Chinamen dobbers at Sian with level 4 forts. That will be a tough nut to crack.

Status: offline 		An experiment to use the SB-III to improve mail delivery in China ends badly when peanut oil is tragically substituted for crankcase oil, causing numerous fires after about 45 minutes of engine use.

Even worse, most of the men of Sian 1125th Zoave Bn are taken ill when crankcase oil is mistakenly used in the Beef and Snap Peas recipe.

The ratio for destruction of ground items is:

1 VP for every 12 Filipino or Chinese items
1 VP for every 6 Soviet or Japanese items
1 VP for every 3 all other Allied items (ie USA/USN/USMC/Aust/NZ/Can/Brit/Ind/Dutch)

Not quite. Sian is already in the red. When the WJD arrive they will stop the production of the raw materials. I doubt you will be able to import 100% of the necessary raw materials to fully feed your industry, so the medium term supply prognosis at Sian is not good. Wider out there will be a squeeze on fuel exports to feed the Heavy Industry of Chungking and Changsha.

Without adequate supply at Sian not only will the adjusted assault value of the Chinese infantry be drastically reduced (ultimately down to only 25% if totally out of supply), but recovery of disabled squads will be quite difficult. You should start looking around to see what transport aircraft you might have available to air drop supply into Sian. There is one Chinese transport squadron plus Tenth US Air force receives several transport squadrons during the course of 1942.

USS Puget Sound= AD-38 Co-Ed Destroyer Tender and basic all around good stop. You can imagine the names she and her crew where called. Was in port with her in Italy...i remember little of the 4 days there, but i was told we had fun. Though Naples wasnt the best place for liberty in the Med, it was better when the crazies from Puget where in.

Fiji: More Oscar and Zero sweeps (61 sorties) over Nadi which are uncontested. Then the Sallys came in (19), knocked down a clothes line and put 7 holes in the runway that were quickly repaired. The Sallys from Tanna just can't do the job. The B-26 raids from Suva on the Japs at Nadi are finally starting to do some good. 1,100 Jap KIA's at Suva today. Jap strength there is about 8K now.

The Jap carrier(s) move 280 Mi W of Nadi but are carefully staying out of F4F/P-39 escort range. Admiral Nimitz will have to cool his jets. I turned around the convoy containing SouPac HQ. Too dangerous with the carriers there.

Oz: The WJD moved the bombers out of Wyndham and moved in extra fighters (100). Clearly, they are expecting something. No attack today, as there are still 2 more 17-E's that need their distributor caps changed. Let the Japs put up a high CAP and wear themselves out for a few days. 2 Bn/9th Armoured (with 5 Stuarts/5 Grants and some Bren carriers) is approaching Nookanah (or something like that). No free lunch...there are WJD's there. Interestingly, Darwin has no bombers either. Tennant creek should be level 2 airfield within a week, allowing the mediums to get into the fight.

The LYB's at Nadi aren't under much pressure yet and they still have hundreds of Ronsons. The wee Jap dobbers at Suva, however, have got to be in a bad way. A pragmatic offer like you suggest might work for westerners, but JJ won't give up until the oficers are dead, and by then they are half or 3/4 starved and wearing diapers.

Plus I would worry about flashbacks when you start handing out the pick axes.

I found the leak about 4 1/2 feet underground. A piece of 1 1/2 pvc backed out of an elbow because it had too much torsion on it. I will have to cook up something with 6 elbows to get some degree of freedom. A professional would laugh at my scheme but I am not going to dig up another 5 or 6 feet of line at 4 1/2 feet deep with a million tree roots.

Ah yes, but to qualify as a miracle it must not be possible to explain it on medical grounds etc.

In your father's case, maybe he survived by turning to the comfort of the bottle, or he became both deaf and blind.

I'd also like some evidence adduced to support your claim your sisters survived their teens. Unscathed, still in control of all their facilities etc.
