Lancer, the thing about the PC series is that it was designed from the ground up to be a construction set. You can mod any, and all, terrain/ground/building/structure textures, vehicles, infantry, sound, animation, weapons, individual vehicle numbers with a decal system. There is nothing that you can't add to this game in terms of looks. Any modder can add anything they want. Once the game itself is good enough to support quality game play, and obviously I think it is, then the game is ready to go wherever the community wants to take it. Matrix is saying the series lives on with a continuation of the series in PC4 which will be set in North West Europe, but there could well be excursions along the way. To places like the Pacific, North Africa and outside of the standard WWII setting. There could also be expansion packs with more campaigns, more added map textures or new game features as the series is taken to new locations and time periods. PC is a series that could go anywhere after 1930. It all depends on where we, the community, want it to go. Because, even if Matrix doesn't go there, nothing will stop the modders from taking it wherever they want to go with it. I can't wait to see all the new materials, scenarios and mods once the update is released. The nicest thing about the series is that the mods aren't just cosmetic. The equipment and unit information isn't hard coded. It's fed into the code from XML files. You put a new XML file in the game and it reads it. In PC, you don't just take a T-34 and make it look like a Sherman. You make a Sherman tank and add it to the rest of the vehicles already in the game! To me that's a HUGE reason I'm involved in the PC system and not another. Good Hunting. MR
