GOSH!

has it been that long....sounds like we need a WOOD refresher for the new year.

as the avatar of the wooden one.........bringer of morning wood, the ever popular varient among male customers.......i present to thee.....the LOG song!

"What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs
rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack and fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!

It's Log, Log, it's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Log, Log, it's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log! You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log! Everyone needs a Log!"

Well, I see we've finally abandoned all pretense of caring about Tubbsy and his thread hijacks (which is what his incessant subject line resets are). Those stopped being funny 3 years ago. Fantastic.

It seems to me that "THE THREAD" is simply a place where friends can communicate about their daily lives across widely disparate time zones. So who really cares what the subject line says, as long as it doesn't violate Matrix forum policy?

As long as people get upset about the subject line, I am sure that Nik finds it funny to reset it. If people were to just continue along with their posts and ignore the subject line I would bet that he would stop. It stops being funny when people stop reacting...

BLASPHEMER!!!

There is only one true THREAD, and Brother Nik knows it. He just tries to pretend otherwise.

All Glory to THE THREAD!!!

I have the day off work, so I scheduled an eye exam, since this practice is only open M-F, 9-5.  I even asked the receptionist to repeat the time she scheduled for me.  I got there today, and they said my appointment was for 90 minutes earlier and I had missed it.

They had nothing else available today, so I will be taking my business elsewhere.  I got back home and then went out to a great lunch with my lovely bride.

You're right of course. Perhaps I enjoy needling a certain log-certified logger by going out of my way to SLR? You're not going to take away that simple little stupid pleasure of mine are you?

I won't lose sleep over it, but we need decorum man!

admit it.....i give you purpose in life (and an excuse to inflate your post count)

:)

A pity there's not a button to restore the subject line. Never have so many , had to work so much, or so often , to undo the work of one so annoying. It must give you great purpose in life to know that your goal is to crap in the punchbowl, and make others scramble to clean up after you. Most people leave that stage when they leave diapers.

Wow....insightful.

I see from your quoting of Terminus that he continues to hurl fat insult references in my direction while complaining about subject reset changes not being funny. Priceless.

A green button was never better invested.

I'm actually for one of those rare moments in my life agreeing with Terminus. Enough's enough Nik. Jokes over. Now your just being annoying as hell.

He hasn't posted anywhere on the forum for a while. I think I'll try an email him.

If you do, please tell him we miss him.

I will. And if he contacts me, I'll report back. I hope it's because he's on vacation/holiday and having too good a time to post.

What about those who spend all day on wargaming forums talking about wargames but not actually playing them?

Just had an email from the old man, he's out in AE territory currently.  Just going into port in India before a trip to Colombo and then through the Straits of Hormuz.  Lots of going quite fast for a big ship to stay ahead of the wee men in rubber boats.

Getting ready to head downtown for the NHL All Star Fanfest.  My son is competing in a youth hockey skills competition as part of the festivities.  Should be fun!

Have a great Friday evening, Brothers!

Its all good with me.....frankly if everyone had stood up long ago as a collective on this "Thread" and said....."ok Nik.....we really really really would like you to stop doing that" then I certainly would have. It's kind of funny how it's evolved into a game of sorts, including the use of Fabers. However the only one who's really had a problem with it is Steve.....and of course Terminus, however in his case i don't really give a flying **** given the hypricrite sees no problem in continually calling me "Tubsy" and "Fatty" whilest refusing to put his money where his fat fingers are and show all of us his svelt in shape body, not to mention basically calling me a liar when i gave my actual weight last year. No one likes to be called fat, but i have a pretty thick skin.....certainly i've been called worse in my time. However one thing i can't stand is hyprocracy and i won't stand by any longer and be Fischer's tool for his own personal issues.

Since at least one albeit infrequent voice says our long standing can't get no respect wooden diety is annoying......fine, if all the Thread regulars are THAT annoyed just say so and he will go join Seti, Anubis and all the other discarded dieties.

This isn't the first time that I've been called that... or heretic, for that matter. I keep a fairly sacreligious atttude towards life. If nobody is being hurt, I don't care...

In this case Terminus went on a rant, when he is easily just as much of a contrarian as is Nik. I felt the need to respond... didn't mean for it to become a big deal.
