Looking on those attacks on the Allied TFs the Jap fighters were outnumbered by the CAP at least 3 to 1 - yet they shot down about 4 times their losses
Either Jap pilot quality was v.good or the USN pilots were crap.

Allied TF composition does seem strange - (but i've noticed the combat report will group all the ships from different TFs in a hex in one report for each air attack).

Why launch a campaign into the heart of Japanese LBA? Why not a campaign against more isolated islands like the Marshals and the Marianas that would preclude such a huge concentration of Japanese LBA?

Yes the combat report will group all the ships from different TFs in a hex in one report for each air attack, it did also in this one.

Allied Pilots was standard (55+), Japanese pilots was more experienced (78+), the Frank is also IMHO superior to the Hellcat if used properly.
Due to weather 40% of the Japanese strike bases did not launch, and the Japanese Carrier force only launched Fighters (A6M5 and A6M5c). I feel that I could done a far better job if the weather would been better.

Heya, "5th Guards Tank Army". For being such a prolific player of AE, it's very surprising that you're such a new poster on this forum. Might we recognize you by other names, perhaps?

Some questions: How would you know what the precise experience of the Allied pilots was in this encounter? Does your Allied opponent routinely divulge such OPSEC issues in your games?

Also, sounds like some of the bases you have are unusual for a 1944 game. Has your Allied opponent not seen fit to evict you from New Zealand yet? Very curious approach for such an 'experienced' Allied player.

It was the only area he could invade, and he buildt up for it for a loong time.

In 44, the USN could invade almost any base on the map. How did you know he was coming? Did he loiter off the base for 3 days so you could rush planes, ships and subs to the area? 3,000 planes is a lot, and for you to have that many there, being the weakest spot in your empire, seems odd. You don't have dozens of CV's. For them to be in that spot lets me know you knew he was coming. What tipped you off?

Generally, the USN had 2-3 days of invasion/base suppression before the IJN could show up. They didn't know exactly when and where they would strike. Yes, they had ideas of where and when they would strike next, but not the exact day and base. How did you have masses and masses of trained air groups and your entire navy (assumption here) ready for him the day he was invading?

Am I reading the reports wrong, and he already unloaded his troops and suppressed the nearby airfields before you smacked him with your airforce and navy?

After a very long and powerfull Strategic Air Campaign against my forward bases in the Southern Resource area my opponent landed at Kopeng ...
But he lost his fleet in the process and the IJN/IJA will hold Kopeng.

His approach was first engaged by the IJN Submarine force, to be followed by a strike of 3000 Aircrafts launched from 15 bases.
All areas are heavelly buildt up, and this was the weekest spot in my line.

Nobody is going to be flying the Fortress past 1943.

Not true,  I shot down so many B24's that my opponent had to start using B17's agian.
Now we are in December 1944 and he is flying B29's.. but it goes a week between the raids.
