Most of us INTJ personality types are not real forthcoming with our emotions.

INTJ too, eh? Here too. There's a lot of that going around...

Yeah, there sure is a lot of it....I have a case of it, too.

A man like you as in touch with his emotions as he is? An INTJ? I had you pegged for INTS (Stuart Smalley).

USS is an edge point of the INTJ world. He's much too socially adept.

Now I'm quite certain Steve-O is not an INTJ.

And you base this assumption upon?

Not that I disagree with you. I'm sure that I fit elsewhere in the "Myers & Briggs" system. I'm just curious why you drew that particulare conclusion.

Really sorry to hear that Nik.

Ive been down that road, and it is not a very pleasant place to be. I got home from work one day and my (then) fiancee told me our relationship was over, clear out of the blue. I had no idea, I got no warning, there were no "signs", nothing. This was three months before our wedding was to take place, all the invitations had been sent out etc, the day before we had sat there choosing what music we wanted during the entry into the Church. It was quite absurd to sit there the day after being given one week to move out.

It would have been easier to deal with it if I had done something wrong, but that just came straight out of the blue for no apparent reason, she broke up with me because "she had to".

Now that's harsh

Yep. Things are tough all over.

But, if you're looking for a real good deal on some used meat, I can get you a pretty nice price on some used hamburger tomorrow if you're interested. Tonight's taco night.

Your sig is the primary reason. Saving lost causes is well outside the boundaries of normal INTJ characteristics.

Thanks anyway. We're having chicken-fried steak tonight I believe. Probably not something they know of in your part of the world...or at least they call it something different.

So are these real tacos with real tortillas or this an Old El Paso special?

My wife's family hails from S. Indiana and Kentucky. We've had some good Chicken-fried Steak. When we get our annual 1/4 butchered beef, we regularly have them run some cube steak through the tenderizing machine for this very purpose.

Oh, and salisbury steak too.

I'm not sure where we belong in this bizzarre system Mike. But I am sure that it begins with "E". I don't think we're introverts, and we have real social contacts. Wives, families, and friends. And not just electronic ones!

Actually I have an amusing real life story concerning that "W" word.

When I served in Kosovo, I and a colleague of mine happened to get in a conversation about cars with a couple of UK/USA officers.

My friend was going to tell them he had one of those Mazda's with a Wankel engine, forgot the real name and instead said he had "a Mazda with a Wanker engine" ...

Let's just say that amusement ensued ...

Oh boy......

Yeah b***** French - can't do anything right

You're right. Just look at News on french TV : we are always screewing things....but pretend not; or it was not our fault !!
Now, just look at me : i screw everything, and i pretend it, so no one can blame me for hidding...
Now, look at the past : how many time a french was involved in something good ?

Platon, Socrate, Aristote : not french
Hyppocrate : not french
Copernic, Kepller, Galilee, Newton : not french
Darwin : not french
Bill Gates ....oh wait, this one is not an example.
Sun Tzu, Confucius, Jesus, Mahomet, Boudha, (as builders of new thinking) : not french.
Cesar, Hannibal, Patton, Gengis Khan, Knut I, Belisaire : not french.
Napoleon : not french.....corsican !

.....................
OK, this post was intended to be funny.
But in fact i don't even manage to make myself smile. Sorry buddys, just not in the mood right now.
I hope i offended no one.

Catherine Deneuve,
Bridget Bardot

Sophie Marceau

Let me add French onion soup, French bread, French wines plus a beautiful language, capital city and countryside.

In order not to appear like drooling, sexist pigs I would also note Dassin, Delon, Belmondo, Montand, etc, who were all more than on par with their American counterpats......but some drooling sexist pig will probably tell me that I like boys.

Well holy f**k I am sorry to hear that.
I have decided that " Manager Boy " is an A**hole.
Like all of your friends here have said, take a deep breath, and think about what you want to do next.
And also consider looking at Federal Express, they seem to be hiring again, and I know a few people I could call if you want to shoot me an email with a resume.

Been there :-/

I was dumped by an ex-GFU some 20+ years time ago when she had met some guy at her workplace. The sleazy details is that the guy she had met was already married & was known to have had plenty of mistresses the last years. This didn't bother my ex-GFU however, as he had promised he would get a divorce for her sake. Two years after we had split up, my ex-GFU came home to her home finding this manly paragon of virtue doing her (up to then) best friend in her own bed.

Funny thing, the (female) friend of the ex-GFU who told me that last bit, in the next sentence told me the split-up was my fault as I hadn't "appreciated her enough" ...

Women ...

Don't honestly know how far it's gone (if anywhere) yet. The whole thing tumbled when, according to her, she was pulled aside by two co-workers and told that the feed manager was MADLY in love with her. xGFU claimed no knowledge but i wasn't suprised......"she" had been talking about him ever since he started working there. I sort of saw turbelence in that direction but never suspected it would spiral out of control so fast. It was as if her being told he was interested in her flipped that switch. three days later....and i had to force out of her what was bothering her.....and it was me apparantly.

Now....yes, its all my fault for not, in her words, being more emotionally involved.

Nik, theres no point in blaming anyone. You might as well leave her reasons to be her own. If her mind is made up, so be it. It sounds like you are no less mobile on this topic than she is.

There comes a point in every relationship where one has to decide whether the continuation is in the best interests of both people, and whether it would just lead to a festering emotional sore and eventual end on much worse terms.

Please look inside yourself and make sure that you are thinking this through, that there is no posturing or spite involved, and if that is so, move on. Let her decisions be hers to deal with. Forget the negative and remember the good times. As several guys have said already, life will go on.

Tell ya what, give USS Mike you phone number. He has a boundless store of enthusiasm and (apparently) way too much free time on his hands.

<puts on professor glasses>

Because aside from the various negative effects of technological integration into our daily lives, there is also the positive effect of being able to select your conversation companions from the population of almost the entire globe. Whereas before one was forced to settle for the closest approximation of their own interests locally available, that same individual can now find his like-minded companions through the medium of technology.

<swiftly removes professor glasses.....throws them away>

I took that test a long time ago. I only remember the acronymn ENTJ because it reminded me of the ENTs in LOTR

I dont really remember what it was all about though. I felt it was a bit of BS tbh.
