I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week. Apparently they changed the job spec after they interviewed me to more closely suit an internal candidate. So that was nice.

That was rather sucky. If they wanted to promote the guy, why didn't they just do that? Is there some law which says that they're required to give the rest of the world a shot at this position before they're allowed to do what they wanted to do in the first place?

No, it was a private company.

2 hours until my girlfriend gets home from work and I get relieved from baby-duty. 4 hours until faceoff in the hockey game. Soon: beer.

Well, I'm now officially no longer friends with Mrs. McDull. What a sucktastic day.

An acquaintance of mine just lost his wife to cancer. He's got a 4 year old boy now with no mother. Bad days are relative.

Ok, I can come over and watch the game at your place then? Brit TV shows Swedish hockey?

ETA: I'm waiting for the response "As often as Swedish TV shows cricket".

I watched about two minutes of the "Lingerie Football League" on TV a few weeks ago. I'm sorry, but that is a ridiculous idea... now if they took the pads off, didn't play tackle football and treated the lingerie like the flags in flag football then it might be fun to watch.

This just seems to be the month for bad things to happen. sheesh.

Even just going to my old pub last nite, started chatting with one of the waitresses there whom i know casually. Turns out she too.....only a day apart from my situation, just left her long term relation with her BFU and is living upstairs in a makeshift apt above the pub.....and this two weeks after two of her three pitbulls were shot and killed by a neighbor with too many firearms. Since she had to be the one to move out, she lost pitbull#3 so we are both pitbull-less in Seattle at the same time and recently single again.

What next......2012 zombie acopolypse comes early?

Good morning, brother comrade fruitcake Red Mouse.

KeM's the fruitcake. I was an innocent bystander.

Clarification; When I use the term "fruitcake", I use it in the "nutty/wacko/'one beer short of a six pack' meaning. Not the sexual one.

hey!...i resemble that remark!

I know! Let's have a suckiness day scale and only allow people to vent if reaches a certain threshhold.

Wait, wait! Let's have a suckiness competition each day and see who wins!

Or we could just let people define their own level of suckiness and vent accordingly.

Some days just suck, suck, suck.

End of rant.

Send them an invoice for consulting services for the day. Maybe they'll get the message and actually pat it.

Just philosophizing...not trying to denigrate your bad day.....more preaching to myself that my bad days might not be so bad.

It's always hard when any relationship fails, whether friendship or otherwise. Nothing unsucky about that at all. It's apparent you put value on it T, so I'm sorry for the break.
