I slept in this morning and now I have sunshine, hot coffee, a turn, and time.  Life is good.

For our British brothers, have you any tips for excursions around London for our sphere of interest? It has to be accessible by public transport, and not too expensive. I'm seriously considering taking a little holiday around Easter, and haven't been to London for nearly two decades.

If you go to Tower Hill stop by the Merchant Navy memorial and say a quiet thanks.

Simon, where is the RAF museum in London? I missed that one when I was in London (but quite by accident I had found a nice little one at Hawkinge Airfield near Dover - I was riding my bike back to London on quiet backroads when I saw a sign for it).

It's going to be tense tomorrow morning. We won't be commuting to work together, that's for sure; I don't think it would be sensible for me to be alone with her without witnesses... Weird, tragic, strange...

Hendon. Got some nice bits 'n' pieces there.

I keep meaning to go to London but never get round to it, HMS Belfast and the IWM are on my to-do list.

Hendon is the physical location, but Colindale is the stop .I've found out the hard way.

Yeah, and Yank tourist! At least you got rid of the weird two button system on you public call boxes.

I don't know if your into plastic models (Either you Dixie, or you T) but there is an outstanding model shop at the station exit. I forget the name (I'll look it up and post it). But it's one of the best I've seen in Europe.

Bookstore in Iceland

(I’m assisting a tourist that is looking for a t-shirt to take home with pictures of Iceland on them.)

Me: “Well, we don’t sell those t-shirts but there are quite a few of them down town and I know of one that has a 3 for 2 special offer on t-shirts.”

Customer: “Could you also explain to me what a 3 for 2 offer is?”

Me: “Sure, it means that you get 3 t-shirts for the price of 2.”

Customer: “I don’t understand, so we steal the 3rd one? Isn’t shoplifting illegal here like in the states?”

Me: “Yes, shoplifting is illegal here, but you wouldn’t be stealing the 3rd shirt. It just means that you choose 3 t-shirts and pay for 2 and then get the 3rd as a free gift sort of.”

Customer: “I don’t get it.”

Me: “You choose 3 t-shirts, and as the sales person scans them in to the register you get a 100% discount on the 3rd t-shirt. Therefore, you’ll get it for free with the other 2.”

Customer: “I’ll go down there, but if they arrest me for shoplifting, I’m telling the police that you told me to!”

Is this stuff real ? You are not making it up ?

There is a website for all these.

I'll second that emotion...last February I spent nine days in hospital with Pneumonia, this February I am back on antibiotics for another chest infection - praying that it does not develop into something worse...
