I considered clicking on it but I am pretty sure Stalker Girl figured out how to use the "history" button on Firefox.

"History"? As in, 'You would be history if Stalker Girl found out you clicked on that link'?

You can always set Firefox to erase all cookies and history when you close the browser...

Well, on the chest region... not so much on the abdomen.

Drop Kick Me Jesus Through
The Goalposts Of Life

Song from Bobby Bare Greatest Hits, Bareworks Inc.
Words and music by Paul Craft.
CD, BWCD-040292

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Make me, oh make me, Lord more than I am
Make me a piece in your master game plan
Free from the earthly tempestion below
I’ve got the will, Lord if you’ve got the toe.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Take all the brothers who’ve gone on before
And all of the sisters who’ve knocked on your door
All the departed dear loved ones of mine
Stick’em up front in the offensive line.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Yeah, Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

"End over end neither left nor to right"

I forgot about that part...sounds vaguely and annoyingly middle of the road

Inspired lyrics though.

Yeah, that's more diplomatic than "recipients of mutton-headed orders". I'll go with what he said.

August 7th (?)

East African Brigade unloads safely at Perth, the support elements of 6th and 7th Aus Divs arrived a fw days ago.

Port Headland now has 23k troops, nearly as many as Katherine. The current thought is that we can bomb it to bits and by pass it on our way to Broome/Derby.

I had 20 minutes for lunch today so I went to grab something at Carls Jr (don't say anything).

The guy in front of me in line was this 50ish Hispanic guy who spoke little English (really liitle, he was about 5ft 3). He had on this "mint condition" Battlefield Earth T-shirt with a picture of Travolta with green eyes and goofy facial hair and some space fighters with the immortal words of L. Ron Hubbard, "Take back the planet".

I started to imagine how this neo-Mayan came to own a brand new T-shirt emblazoned with the graphics of one of the worst movies ever made. Where was the T-shirt for 11 years? You don't suppose someone is still printing the thing? Was he a neo-Mayan Scientologist? April 1st...you don't suppose this is a gag? I looked around, just a couple of blue-hairs. Maybe he didn't know how bad it was because it had no subtitles? Most likely he just bought it at a flea market for 15 cents because it looked new.

You see that around here...hilariously inappropriate T-shirts on non English speakers. I once hired a day laborer for yard cleanup with a t-shirt that read "National Orgnanization for Women/San Francisco Convention/ September 12-15, 1996" or something like that.

An inexpensive leftover! Take a perfectly good t-shirt that they will try to soak you for, then put a Battlefield Earth scene on it. Voila! Flea market merchandise, good quality and cheap, perfect for work.

That was a "major motion picture". Maybe it wasn't as bad as Plan 9 From Outer Space... but then again maybe it was.

You know, the book was actually very good.  I read it the first time as a teenager and have re-read it several times.  Never made an attempt to watch the movie.

I saw both (in the same 24 hour period!) at a b-movie film festival at Northwestern a few years back. Plan 9 is more charming in its ineptness, Battlefield: Earth is just plain dreadful.

Yes, I was in Lost Wages for a few days. Naturally , I lost everything I won last time. I would double on 11 against a 5, draw a 9 and then the dealer would make a 6 card 21. It was one of those deals. Didn't see any hot HOA Presidents but the waitresses out by the pool were cute.

Ah, I love a fan of classic movies!

Here's some more:

Big Joe: Look, Mac, you and us? We're just soldiers, right? We don't even know what this war's all about. All we do is we fight and we die and for what? We don't get anything out of it. In about a half an hour the whole American army's gonna be comin' down that road. Why don't you do yourself a great, big fat favor, huh? And get the hell outta here?

German tank commander: I have orders. This bank isn't to fall into the hands of the American army.

Kelly: Sergeant, this bank's not gonna fall into the hands of the American army. It's gonna fall in our hands. You see, we're just a private enterprise operation.

German tank commander: You... the American army!

Oddball: No, baby, we ain't.

I think with men like Kelly in Europe, and Milo in the Pacific, Adam Smith's concept of the wealth of nations deriving from the unfettered efforts of individual citizens will be translated into reality for at least the next 60 years!

I had a dream last night with Willie Nelson in it.

He came up to me excitedly and proclaimed, "You have to listen to this!". Then he pressed some button and the dream was filled with the lyrics of "On the Road Again" sung by a Sinatra clone with some wild jazz horn arrangement. It was really bad.

I think I said something polite but I'm not sure.

Anybody know what this means?
